I just purchased this today after coming off Hydroxycut that didn't seem to do anything for me.

I am 82kg and my mission is to slim down to 75kg, whatever that is in pounds. I am 40yrs, use to run marathons, but am feeling slow and heavy these days.

Open to suggestions and advice from you knowledgeable folks that have been on this stack. My diet might need tweaking as well. I normally have bran flakes with fruits in it for breakfast using lactose free 2% milk and 2 boiled eggs without the yolks.

Lunch is some rice or potato with steam veggies and a glass of water/orange juice.

Dinner is fish or grilled steak with steam veggies/salad. I also take multi vitamins, glucosamine condroitin, whey iso burst protein, creatin monohydrate, and flax seed oil for supplements. What do you guys think?

Oh....I spend at least 4 days in the gym stretching, threadmill and dumbbells

Cheers

JS

ECA helped me shed fat in the past. I personally cut out the A(aspirin) and just do EC now though. You can read up on dosages and stuff at: http://www.canadabodybuilding.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6112

I am not a pro on diets but my advice is try to increase you protein intake. You need protein in every meal.

Bro, no offense but with that diet you will not achieve your goals at all. First of all, you are only eating 3x/day....this in itself will cause your metabolism to slow and cause you to store unwanted bodyfat. Think of your body as a furnace you need to keep putting in food frequently to keep the fire burning.
Second, you do not have near enough protein and essential fats. You are also taking in too many carbohydrates and also your choice of carbs are deffinately not the best. I would suggest reading the palumbo diet and read up on its philosophies. If you dont feel it is the diet for you (as it takes full dedication) i would still use it as a base for your own modified diet as Palumbo provides educated and scientific reasoning for the food and meals choices. Do a quick search and you'll find it. good luck
Oh and the ECA , start with 24e,200c,80a 20 minutes before workout for a week. Then week 2 bump it to 2x/day spread 5 hours apart. You can follow that for about a month, then i would take some time off it.

You give some good advice here, but I think for someone who`s never tried ephedrine, starting with 12 mg is plenty and take it mid meal to make sure you don`t get weird sides. I`d also ditch the aspirin.

Thank you for the response everyone. I have ditched the aspirin as of today. I did mention in my previous post that I take GNC whey iso burst protein that has 40g of protein per serving ( 2 scoops ) and low in carbs, would that work for my protein intake?

I also plan to drop the rice and potatoes to just a fist full twice a week. I picked up some almonds and low carb ( curves ) bars today to much on between meals.

My other question is regarding workout regime, as someone that is just looking to lose weight, and not bulking up, can I just stick to the threadmill and road running? I am told that weights should not be part of my regime for losing weight, it's for people that need to bulk up.

I have a good physique, wider chest and good upper body anyway, I just need to lose my little belly ( I say that because I don't drink and it's not a gut ) and the love handles. What do you guys think of the exercises mentioned below and the amount of time?

Exercise - Exercise burns calories and increases metabolism, both of which help to deflate beer guts and beer bellies and strip bodyfat. Exercises that get your heart rate elevated - brisk walking, cycling, jogging, even gardening - are the best. Exercise doesn't have to be hard or grueling - it just has to be done on a regular basis (4-5 times a week) for at least 30-minutes at a time.

Waiting to hear from you all thanks!

PS: Situps hurt my back and am trying to avoid long-term injuries

Just have a look around the site for diets and training information. You'll be surprised by how much you'll find.

are you planning on taking 10-20 scoops per day and reeking havoc on your digestional tract?

So no, its not good enough. Eat lean meat like chicken breast. Fat free low sodium lunch meat. Fat free cottage cheese. There are hundreds of options...so read the diet nutrition thread for a couple hours. You will be shocked.

Who ever told you that weights are not to be part of your routine.... never listen to them EVER again

Find what works best for you, but ultimately, when cutting, you reduce caloric intake slightly, and put yourself somewhere near your maintenance levels. Cardio needs to be done 4-5 times per week, and lift as per usual.

What is you maintenacne calories? and what macro ratios do you run?

Carb timing is important, and do not take in carbs a few hours before bed.

Fats in morning only, and are to be reduced to near zero, but are still important, so do not cut them out.

If you want to experiment with ketosis? Different routine altogether.

There are a hundred ways to lose, and you need to research, and once again, forget everything that guy told you who doesnt lift when cutting

Avoid ECA if at all possible. Adrenal fatigue and high cortisol output is not a good situation. Too many guys learn the hard way and at your age you dont want to deal with either trust me on this. Ephedrine is a shit product and will cause all kinds of side effects. You need to get your diet tight...as it stands now it is in a word...horrible. With a decent diet, daily cardio, and 4-5 days of resistance training you will see some great results...you can use a bit if caffeine if needed thats all you need.

yes this is very good advice.... more protien, some caffeine, if you think you need a boost, and yes you will lose more when you combine cardio and strenth training.

Boy the ephedrine caffeine stack sure dosen`t get any love here. I keep hearing about the cortisol rise, but do you really think it`s sinificant? For years this was the stack... And in the world of supps, I`m not sure anything is better. I still think it`s a good aid. Cuts appetite like nothing else. I do agree comming off it is a bitch, but who said this was a free ride? Comming off a cycle has it`s down falls as well yet anabolics don`t get so much hate do they?
