Hey fella's, my duaghter in law is looking to get an elliptical and has narrowed it down to 2, your thoughts? Also note the sales and quality of each.

Thanks!

Wouldn't buy an elitptical from either place, crappy tire and sears? I used to sell them many many years ago, pay a little bit more and get something of quality.........

oh no nothing like that, and not for me...she just wants something to use around the house, as she doesn't want to join gym. She's not too harcore by any means and just wants decent quality without paying out the butt.

dont buy either. they are trash. just being honest. shell never want to use them either.

go on craigs list and buy a semi-used one. I picked up a used life-fitness one (very similar to the one i spent hours on at the gym) for $1300.

you may be paying more but youre getting more than the difference in quality and lifespan.

also- wait until say.... feb/march. everyone buys one for their new years resolution and then hangs clothes on them instead. thats how you get a good one with virtually no use on it for cheap. Mine had 13 hours logged on the computer which you can check on better units.

For sure, if you buy a shitty machine it'll just build dust. Buy a good used elliptical and you'll be much better off.

Good advise, just wait for a good machine, i cant' tell you when i've bought cheap and never used after. Get something you'll use

A decent one will cost you $2500-3000 new but you can pick them up for about a grand used.
