Hello everyone my wife and I are about to start the Palumbo diet. I am just wondering if this is the right thing for her.

Her stats
Age - 27, Height - 5'7, Weight - 230lbs

If any one could help us it would be great.

It's gonna be a long road no matter what. I have no idea about the specific diet that your wifes starting but I can tell you that if shes consistant no matter what diet shes on if shes burning more calories then taking in she will loose weight. Just make sure she can handle the diet don't make it extreme or she will be discourage. My wife lost about 35lbs over the past 2 years. She was never overweight but once it started coming off she wanted more. Now shes in the gym everyday for at least 2 hours and loves it.

the first 4 days were pretty brutal for her, on the 5th she came in, clrealy in ketosis cause she didnt want to gouge my eyes out

My wife lost 130lbs in a year following a PSMF style diet... 6 small protein based meals/snacks with 15G's of high quality protein per meal/snack... eliminate sugar and starch for the 1st 2 weeks... stick with only fiberous vegis (~100G per meal)... after 2 weeks she can add 2 slice of weight watchers bread (or Dempsters Body Wise) and 100G of berries... I don't think the average women needs the amount of dietary fat that Palumbo reccomends... if you guys are in Toronto, drop by one of my gyms and I would be happy to give you a free meal plan...
