An UG lab was busted but all their gear that was confiscated was bunk? Like no active ingredients at all. They couldn't be charged with trafficking steroids since there were no steroids technically confiscated. Right?

you still get charged with something. I think i saw an episode of cops where some guys was selling fake weed and they charged him just the same...of course that was in the USA too.

I'm betting they would not test the gear before the trial. So if he was smart he wouldn't say anything about the gear not being real until he was charged with "Trafficking AAS" and he was in court under that charge. He then could plead not guilty because it wasn't an illegal substance. They would then have to get it tested, but I don't think they can change the charges mid trial, So he could get off on a technicality. I'm no Lawyer though, but I have seen a lot of Law shows....lol.

if u read the law it says something like" selling the substance or anything purported to be the substance" .
SOmething like that.
the charges will remain.

Intent to sell a controlled substance whether it is the real stuff or not is illegal.

plus some money laundering, and probably a few other charges

Anyone who knowingly sells bunk to someone should at the very least be hospitalized and maimed so badly, that they can never live a normal life again. Human dog shit.

Thats way I see it anyway.
