View Full Version : holy shit nuggets
if your cutting, goto sobeys and buy some soulvaki. it comes in a pack of 8 for like, i dunno 10-12 bucks or something whatever.
each piece only has 90 calories, 16g protein, >2 carbs, >2 fat.
not 100% on the carbs and fat but i know its somewhere low like that, i already threw the boxes out.
plus they taste like ****ing sex
i just pre-cooked 3 boxes of it

What about the sodium content? Must be sky high.

DK
you remind of myself when i first started working out. i used to eat ham all the time, there was 0 fat 0 carbs and like 10 grams of protein for a slice, but i didnt realize that every slice is like 500mg of sodium,
that catches up to you sooner or later.

sodium is fine when dieting unless of course you're going for the beach body look.
If competing then sodium isn't that big of a deal until you start getting down to crunch time

too much sodium is not good at all...prepared foods packs tons of sodium in them..too much sodium leads to other issues...I dont have salt in my house, I don't use it in anything really, there enough salt in the things you eat that adding it isnt nessesary..

a little sodium is okay, but do not live off this shit. A treat once a week, go hard. Using it as a staple, you will have sodium related problems such as bloat, HBP, and what ever else slat does to you thats bad

I repeat sodium is fine when dieting. I am not saying you want TONS of the crap but some sodium is perfectly fine but again if you are looking for the beach body look then you prob don't want it. When dieting for a show a bit of sodium is not a bad thing at all until you start getting 6-8 weeks out.
If you cut sodium entirely out of your diet your body will recognize that and actually retain more water.
This was told to me by a competitive BB. You NEED some sodium in your diet. Its all about balance.
