Advice please... I can't decide...

In June I will be in the market for a new TV. These are the two I am looking at but I'm not sure which one to get. Which would you get?

Samsung 52” Series 6 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV

OR

Samsung 58" Series 5 1080p Plasma HDTV - This has the 2,000,000:1 ratio.

I have a decent sony 52 lcd,and would tade it for a larger plasma of equal quality.

I heard plasmas are shit and over time they develop spotty screens.


like for example if your playin a video game or something and you pause it and the same picture is in the same spot on the screen for to long itll eventually imprint it self into the screen very lightly.

I like them both. I guess I'm liking the 58 inch because of the size. The 52 inch however has the 120hz which is great for me because I LOVE sports! Truth be told though, when watchin porn, I hate getting those pixels in the "fast action" modes... hehehe.

yeah, the bigger size is nice but that refresh rate will more than make up for it.. once you've got it in your home, you're gonna be glad you went with the LCD... it just has an overall better image, especially for fast action scenes like sports, action movies, etc..... and porn... lol.

you know, you're gonna have to download HD porn if you wanna watch it on that set! even all the 720p porn floatin around isn't going to look perfect, yer gonna have to download the massive 1080p files.. those things are HUGE! better get a big 'ol external HDD to store all those flicks.... 2TB should cover it.

Way ahead of you Kloan. I went and bought that Western Digital WDTV media player. That thing is AWESOME!!! It plays the .mkv files that are 1080P. I've downloaded a couple of dozen movies already. Yes, they are huge in file size but worth it. Plus I found a site that super fast for downloading. I did Quantum of Solace (12GB) in just over 4 hours. Plus I download all my TV shows now in .mkv format. All is good in the hood!

BTW ... I went and looked at the 120hz lcd... the plasma looked WAY better!
