purgeIE and programs alike

How is purgeIE or programs like this at getting rid of sites info etc off your computer ??

They work for some stuff, but I have data recovery software that pulls stuff up that has been "erased", but it doesn't pick up stuff with 7 passes or better. If you use an eraser program, use a guttman pass (35 passes) and then erase your unused space with a guttman pass and you might be safe. I know LEO has better stuff then I do for data recovery.
