Did my first shot of equitest yesterday. So far so good. Was expecting much more pain. What surprised me was how frigging hard it was to get the gear in my glute, I`m using a 25g to pin. I swear I was pushing down so hard on that plunger, I thought it was going to break. I take it warming the syringe in the microwave will make this easier, so here`s another newbie injection question from yours truely... Do you leave the plastic cover over the tip? I ask this due to sanitary reasons, which makes me think, I really should clean out that microwave first... And for how long? Don`t want to melt the syringe.
dont put your syringe in the microwave, ESPECIALLY if your needle is still attached to it.
Metal + Microwaves = House fire
Just run your syringe with the gear in it under some hot water for a few seconds if you want to make it a little thinner and easier to jab.
^^ agree.....run it under hot water.....plastic in the microwave might melt/degrade into your juice......

You can also warm the bottle with some hot water first. That way there is no possibility of contaminating the syringe or pin.

25 gauge is a little small although some prefer the idea of the smaller gauge on the theory of less scar tissue but if you are wiggling it around tryig to get the oil in then it kind of defeats the purpose.
23 gauge is a little easier for most oils although I've heard that grapeseed oil runs well through 25.
With high mg/ml test the discomfort comes later. I found 1 1/2" better than 1" a few days later for glute shots.

i always use those hot bin bags, i throw it in the microwave for about 2 minutes then i wrap my syringe in it. then I prepare the spot and by the time i'm ready the oil is nice and warm.
i always use 25 gauge never had any problems. it almost sounds like you have scar tissue build up.

I`ve hardly ever pinned myself so I hope it`s not scar tissue. I haven`t done much gear, did 2, 2 on 4 off cycles, then a 12 week cycle 6 years ago. I did warm the gear in a bowl and it was fairly easy to draw, so I thought it was warm enough. This time I will let it warm up longer in the water. Thanks for the feedback guys.

For me using a 25 just takes a long time no matter what, I bet its just a combination of a tiny needle and injecting into a thick muscle when I do my quads it takes a good while to inject even tho the oil is warm and its only 1cc.
