What car to buy for my fiance????

So I wanna surprise my fiance and buy her a car. It will be used and in the 10-15k range. I would like something with 60,000 km or less and no older than 2003. All I ever heard her say is she wants a 2 door sports car, and she has mentioned a Hyundai Tiburon before.

I want to get her something that won't make me look like a tool driving it when I am too cheap to gas up the Hummer.... so there is no way I'm getting a Hyundai, lol.. I was thinking maybe a 2004 Crysler Crossfire (14,900) or an 2006 Eclipse (12,900). Any ideas?????

tsx's are nice, but not 2 door or cheap.

used mazda 3 would go over well, not a coupe or sedan but one of the best little cars out there.

i would caution against, the rx-8, there have been reliability issues, and the engine, since it's rotary, does burn oil. she would have to be proactive in making sure the fluid levels are maintained otherwise it could be problems.

s2000 is bulletproof, but again rear wheel drive, and not very good in winter in general. Any Acura will be great from a reliability point of view, and the TSX is a good looking car, especially in white.

btw: the gov't said they will honour the warranty of any car company going under, so buying a north american car isn't that big of a deal. i would actually say that since they are desperate for business and you might be able to get a better deal from one of them

The RX-8 is an awesome car, just dont buy a first gen where the oil filter is impossible to access and few other minor problems. They are technically a 4 door tho so I think theat helps with insurance.

It certainly is not a FD Rx7 but its still a nice fast rotary, I hear Mazda is working on a 1.6L Rotary next.

And H2's... well I've had two of them and payed like 3x that much, lol. Keep in mind I'm looking for vehicles with less than 60k kms on them.

Ford Mustang? Seen lots of women driving those lately. 04-05 GT can be found goes for about 15-16 grand. Even cheaper for V6.

If you want winter performance I'd suggest Subaru Impreza - AWD, reliabillity and great handling all round.
