View Full Version : GH for joints?

I recently joined an MMA gym and the crosstraining is beating down my joints, especially jiu jitsu, my joints are getting torqued all the time.

I was thinking of running GH 2iu/day maybe 5 on 2 off to help speed the healing of my joints, maybe get some bit of an anabolic effect as well.

Is 2iu enough or would I need more?

Are you still liftng weights the same as you were prior to starting mma? If you are id suggest toning the work in the weight room down a notch otherwise your going to be at a high risk for over-training and injury.

what Big Luse said, but I would think that some Deca might be a better choice.

or high dose EQ

GH is your best bet for joints. Better than deca or EQ. 2 IU ED is perfect for that.

Excellent advice. Tone down the bench presses espeially. Grappling + Benching= Murder onthe joints.

GH will benefit you immensly. In fact GHRP6 one upped GH for me. Nothing tuned up my joints and ligaments like GHRP6.

i'm gonna say it depends on your age.. if you are 25 and under i dont know if it would do much.. if you are older im sure i would make a big difference

Praetorian had previously recommended the anti-inflammatories adequan and pennsaid to me in a previous post. May be something to look into

GH does work well though. I started at 2iu and have just bumped it up to 3. Aches and pains in my joints have gotten better in the month i've been on.

Try GHRP6. Should do the job but GH can take upto 8 mths. to see ligament benefits so give it a few months,

I actually still have some GHRP from before, I didn't find it effective during my cycle but I could give it a shot for the joints.

Yeah some of you nailed it, I still hit the gym like I used to 3 times a week. Its just so hard to slow down something you've been doing for so long. I'll take some more time to think about it, but I guess in the mean time I can give the ghrp a shot.

i've been using 2 iu's forever and bumped it up to 2.5 and my knees starting killing me. and also found at the higher dose my joints would crack more.

Hmm...any idea why that might be?

What other effects have you found at 2iu? My buddy said his skin got a lot better, sleep was great etc.

not sure about the joint pain, but i heard it could be the tendons/ligaments growth. i'm over 30 so using it more for hrt than anything else. sleep is great but i take my in the am and it makes me tired all day.

yea, but what other compounds are you guys using with it, the ones that are having joint problems? you could be using other gear that is harder on the joints, vs gh+eq that should be better overall....

i've been clean since early sept, just started low dose test and var so definitely it's the gh that's causing joint pain. or maybe i'm just plain old.

I've been using 5iu-8iu HGH for 2 months and all my joints are very sore, especially my wrists and hands (fingers). This is my first time using GH.

I've been using 5iu-8iu HGH for 2 months and all my joints are very sore, especially my wrists and hands (fingers). This is my first time using GH.

The last time I ran GH I was on for six months, 3 iu ED for the first three months then up'd it to 5 iu for the next three, the first 3 months I felt like I was in my teens again, I never felt so good as I did then, around the 3 month mark though my tendons and muscles went for a shit. let me explain: there is no doubt my hands grew ( my wedding ring is size 14.5, this is f#$king huge if you don't know sizing) I'm pretty sure my feet grew almost a full size. My tendons turned into piano strings, at that time i was weighing 237 with abs starting to show, when I finished my cycle thats when the real problems started, 2 pinched nerves under my pec minors, which meant no feeling in my arms and fingers, off to the massage therapist and 20 sessions of active release therapy, that did wonders, if any of you ever get the feeling you have carpel tunnel it's most likely a pinched nerve, this is from my therapist!!
I might be isolated case, somewhat allergic to it, but it didn't really leave me with a great feeling. Could have been a cheap chinese product too!!

If you overdo it you'll probably get carpel tunnel as a side effect...also 0.5iu insulin will enhance results. I go with 0.5iu insulin and 1iu Somatropin (HGH) and 1iu GHRP6. I am not extremely knowledgeable about steroids, but with a bad liver and a history of kidney stones I am scared to try anything else besides this. But lifting and jiu jitsu have become less painful on both muscles and joints...and appetite is way up.

FYI...and that's twice a day. I was told by someone in the know that got me started on ghrp6 this is the saturation point for a single injection so it is useless to take more at once.

This makes no sense .5iu insulin??? Thats not doing anything and it doesnt enhance GH unless you need it...ie insulin resistant or you have plateaued on GH...most guys running slin are just adding additional fat not muscle. Taking too high a dose of gh initially can cause carpal tunnel..however over time the body will get used to the amount....back it off and start lower youll be fine. GH actually helps with joints it doesnt hurt them.
There are many reasons you can develop sore joints.

I'm having the exact same problem, i have been doing muay thai for 3 years and when i got back from spending a month in thailand last year my cardio was insane, i shed all the weight i needed to loose and then some, but as soon as i hit the Canadian cold i felt like i needed a wheelchair. I got some anti inflamatories and that worked for a while, or at least until i decided to move up a weight class. Thats when i started lifting heavy again, and i did a 18 week test cycle. It wasn't until after my cycle and cutting that a realised how bad shape my hips and knees are. Crosstraining mma and bodybuilding together is a difficult path. It's all about balance and moderation. More important than any hormone therapy is knowing your body. Hgh is what i'm currently looking into also, but i'm restructuring the way i train. Looking great in the ring like sly or van damme is one thing, being able to perform as good as you look is another. And as for deca, i wouldn't reccommend it. It could crush your sex drive!

I have actually read some recent studies that show that deca does not help at all with joint health (collagen synthesis etc) and can even negatively impact the healing of joint injuries. I think rest is most important but diet also. IMO, if you have nagging joint issues, rest and proper nutrition is the only real solution. A good diet with lots of antioxidants and healthy fats (omega 3's specifically as they have a natural anti-inflammatory effect) is key.

Very true...there are much more effective and less expensive remedies for joint pain than GH or other peptides for that matter.
