Does anyone know how you can get rid of these in the muscles? I was told by someone the pain in my left shoulder is due to calcium deposits. I did get an X-Ray last year, but they said they were minimal and shouldn`t be a problem.

are you getting episodes of pain or is it always there?

It`s always there. And I know specifically how not to move my arm. Can`t brush my teeth too much with my left arm, because my shoulder will get sore, I don`t reach for stuff with my left arm, even sleeping on my left side can cause soreness. I can train however with this, I just do alot of warm up sets and am good to go. Even doing a front double bicep pose hurts my left shoulder. Can`t do any rear delt work or rhomboid work either all other rowing moves are good to go. So anything with the elbow up and pulling towards the chest causes pain. Bunch of other stuff hurts the shoulder but don`t want to sound like a weiner by posting them all...

RMT = registered massage therapist
gives you either
deep tissue massage , or active release therapy

better if you can get one who has worked on atheletes/bodybuilders before

I`ve done both, but the least in those 2. Those massages were costing me $85 for 1 1/2 hours and really couldn`t feel no difference. Realisically if I were to start with someone it would need at least 10 visits to see a difference, and so far I`ve spent 6000 over the years trying to fix this shit. If it hasen`t been fixed in that time spending that much, I give up, and will just live with it.

I`m starting some test and equipoise in about 2 weeks hopefully that will help, and after the cycle may give alflutop a try if there is still pain. No more dumping hundreds and hundreds of $$$ to these people who haven`t done shit for me.

My Chiro did ultra-sound therapy on my shoulders and it worked wonders.

I had a chiro use ultra-sound on my inner knee/leg area, can`t really say it worked but he was a very cool guy. If you ever watch RDS, he`s the guy who hosts the strong man shows, Martin Gauthier, who does also train himself and knows bodybuilders well. Think I gave him 5 or 8 visits, can`t remember but didn`t feel it was going anywhere. But maybe it could work on the shoulder. Thanks for the reminder of ultra sound treatments.

You arn't successful because you're trying to treat the problem without dealing with the source of the problem.

You have to figure out what is causing this and how to fix that, then treatments will work.

I'm not really familiar with calcium deposits. I would have thought it was something like a muscular imbalance. Tendonitis, impingement, scar tissue buildup, rotator cuff issues. Do you have good posture? How do your shoulders sit in a relaxed position?

rotator cuff is an issue, because just doing the movement with no weight, hurts the shoulder, my left shoulder is often contracted upwards. I catch myself doing this every half hour every day. My posture is off and on, don`t like to look like some douche puffing out his chest so I try to stand normally, not military straight, which by defenition is good posture.

Do you find you also have to think about keeping your shoulders back during the day? Do they tend to rotate forwards? It sounds like the upper portion of your trapezius is probably tight and overdeveloped compared to muscles that depress the shoulder.

I've noticed with a lot of gym rats and bodybuilders that they have well developed chest, lats and upper portion of the trapezius but their midback muscles usually suck. So they end up internally rotated and that brings on all the problems I was refering to in my first post. Not sure if this is the case with you. I just see it so often that it's the first thing I thought of.

I think of keeping my shoulders back, but like I said I can`t help but wonder what others think if I walk around like that. I really tend to down play my physique. Since I do a day of doing thickness only training for back, I think my middle back is well developed. You`re probably right about the tight trap muslce. People who touch my back are surprised how tense my traps and upper back are, they tell me it can`t be normal. I don`t train traps, because I feel they`re plenty big, and just don`t need training. So I could have an overyly tight trap, messed up rotary cuff among other things here. I don`t know if you recall me saying this, but doing a front double biceps pose causes my serious pain causing me to release it after a few seconds.

So you may understand how seeing a masotherapist is just not an option. I would need daily massages for days on end, maybe even weeks. The cost would be insane. I have however ordered the Dr Ho electrostimulation device. I`ve gotten to that point... I hope it can help relax the muscles or help with my sciatic pain. Will give news on this device here either way.
