Soo I got an MRI for my liver and also did another blood test. Liver enzymes were only slightly raised compared to being really high last test so that is fine. BUT NOOOOOW my doctor is telling me that my muscle enzymes are elevated too high. He said normal is 1000 and I'm up to 1400.. I'm getting really annoyed with this because if I had of went to a doctor that specialized in sports/fitness, I wouldn't have had to go back so many times for this bullshit. From researching, it can be elevated from exercise. Anyone else that could give me some info and if they had the same problem.. thanks..
ps. have not used aas or anything... just figured this would be the right place for answers..

If your referring to ALT and AST (? think those are the right ones) then yes, fairly dramatic increase can be seen if your working out hard. Those enzymes indicate muscle damage/breakdown from training. Take a day or two off before your next test and it will probably get your doc off your back.

He'd need to take at least a week (if not more) to get his levels back down to what "normal" (ie- fat and lazy people lol) have. Man some docs are just plain ignorant and uneducated when it comes to this stuff
he said liver is fine, that means AST/ALT is fine. i think hes talking about his CK levels, which are always out of whack for bodybuilders. my doc stopped testing that for me after it started showing 600+ lol

bro what is the acceptable range ie. 10- 60, it should say on the papers... just from memory based on my test's range your AST and ALT are definately elevated...
i was right about CK, i wouldnt worry about it, especially if you excercised 24 hrs prior to the bloodwork. this can also elevate your ast/alt

Well AST is elevated by 30 and ALT by 9. What were you levels for your CK when you got blood work? Because 1500 sounds really high...

When I was tested about a year ago, my CK was 259 and according to the lab sheet, it should be below 210. The doctor told me to take 3 days off from any exercise so I did absolutely nothing for 72 hours prior to the test. After the test I was back down to 104.

Well the doc has me going in for another blood test next Thursday. Gonna take tuesday and wednesday off so hopefully that'll be long enough to get the numbers down and for the doc to not worry as much. He said to just do cardio if i was going to do exercise but i can't help, i love to lift.. All i'm hoping is that it goes down some so he knows it's from training.. Were your AST and ALT elevated at all when you got your tests done?
words
take a full week off... anything and everything affects your ast/alt. thats why you are supposed to be fasting when they check it.
excercise elevates it
over the counter supplements elevate it
injuries elevate it
alcohol elevates it
vitamins elevate it
altho if you really think about it, the whole test is coutner productive. when you go in you fast/no excercise etc, so thats not your normal state of body. if you go in on a regular day, all your values will be borderline high or high, which is what you are at 363 days of the year... either way, if you dont excecsively drink or take oral steroids or lots of OTC supplements you should be good

Well i rarely drink, once every few months or so. As for OTC supplements, I only take creatine, vitamin b complex, multivitamin, and a preworkout supplement which changes daily so I'm not worried that these would mess up the levels too much. A week seems so long especially when dieting down but I'll do what I can i guess..

My AST was 39, normal range being 6-42 and my ALT was high at 49, normal range being 4-43. Try to avoid the cardio as well before your test. 2-3 days of sitting around is not going to destroy your body. It may actually help.
