Has anyone ever seen this in person? I am thinking about getting it for my gyms... It looks like a really smart idea!

I don't see why not? I am checking with the company that makes it to see if they have sold one around the GTA as I would like to try it before buying it... but it looks like an excellent idea!

I would get this breaker bench before the smartrack, same basic idea but it comes with band pegs.

cool idea. easier on the shoulders on the initial lift. i would like to try it. oh ya, i train at premier, they dont even replace the dumbbell weight numbers when they fall off so its a guessing game when you use dumbbells......i hate my gym.... :(

i think its a good idea, but alot of moving parts, which can lead to alot of broken parts ???

for bench pressing wiht the bar seems like it would work great.

and for dumbells it dosent seem to practical, i think you would have trouble putting them back on the rack.

They should have a foot lever that you push to bring it forward. Otherwise it looks like you have to rack the weight too far behind your head. Would be awkward and kinda dangerous.

eh?

Doesent make any sense. You are in the same position as in a normal bench, the uprights just come forward. and then return to normal return position.

I just really want andre to get one.

Putting the weight back when you have run out of gas is what scares me... I would need to try it!

That's your best best, try it before you buy it..I have the same concern with the D/B getting them back up, you don't need PPL smacking there heads with D/B's..I'm sure they have a good locking system to keep in stance..It's the D/B system I would have to try...

Some other approaches that work but woudln't be quite as pretty or expensive ...

I use the barbell free-spotter and have been very impressed.

all seem to be great ideas, the only ones that appeal to me are the breaker bench and the hooks, all the rest seem to have to mny mechanical parts/

i like those hooks alot
