Anyone else pop these like they were pez?
I can't seem to go a workout these days without something in my to help. Mostly with joint pain. Also on anti inflamitories.
I cannot wait for deca to kick in to help and I ain't even hitting the weights super hard. Reps all between 8-12, nothing lower. Did shoulder DB presses the other night and 105's felt like my elbows were being used to cut glass. 12 reps sure but fak I should have been able to pound out the 120's with ease!
grrr
105...pshh... i do all my excercises with Ronnie's dbs NO PROBLEMS
but SERIOUSLY tho... with what ive learned over the past year about painkillers, im not using them at all even tho my shin feels like a moist popsickle stick... maybe go with something au naturel (grass)? what about a topical painkiller?

105s are nothing! my boys back home are into the 120's for mega reps - like 15-20. I don't friggin get it lol
I know they aren't good for you. Trust me I know that but damn. It's either train in pain or train with mild pain. Not sure which is better to be honest lol
I don't smoke weed - never have never will. Just not my thang. Topical might be an idea. What are the options for a topical product?

I believe you need a prescription for Naproxin, its probably the best anti-inflammatory on the market though.

Doesn't Advil or Tylenol give you a hole in your stomach if you take too much? I am sure I saw a thread here or on another board.

Maybe you should change your workout style to lighter weights and higher tempo. Using pain killers is just masking a problem that is getting worse and worse everytime you hammer out a heavy ass workout.

i agree time to change things up ,go lighter and quicker pace or something, when pusing exercises get painful for me i prefatigue for awhile, laterals or flies for instance, concentrate back for awhile lots of ways.when you need rest listen to your body itll make you rest one way or another

NSAID drugs ie, Ibuprofin (Advil/Motrin) and Naproxin can put stress on the kidneys....that's very important to keep in mind when one is eating 400+ grams of protein per day, taking creatinine and AAS.... People think that it was AAS that took out Tom Prince's kidneys but the main damage was done by the inordinate amount of NSAID drugs he consumed...
That said there is nothing wrong with taking 200-600mg of Motrin occasionally when you have some joint pain here and there but habitual use can lead to some health problems...

Depends on the person....naproxin does not do shit for me...Generic Ibuprofin liquid gels (Life brand- Shopper' drugmart- same as Advil liquid caps but 1/3 the cost) work the best for me.

X2.. Just got 60, 500mg pills from my doctor. I take 2-3 at a time and they work much better than Ibuprofen. Another thing , try some Lakota topical back pain reliever. It comes with a roll on dispenser so you don't get shit all over your hands. I LOVE this stuff. Use on shoulders, elbows, back. When you start moving your joints on this ,they heat up and feel allot better. You can feel the Lakota working hours after you apply it.
If your joints are bad you should go see a RMT for Active release,or some deep tissue massage.

I think you'd want to maybe take a little break, your body seems to be saying something, If your sore most times, i'd have a month break, and then see how you feel, and go bit lighter..

time off right now is not in the cards. It's the only thing keeping me from killing mother****ers :D
Thanks all for the replies. I'll try some lakota, decrease the weight and up the reps even more.

ibuprofen (advil ect) will aggravate stomach issues like ulcers. I used to eat advil liquigels like candy and ended up with a nasty one myself.

Maybe you just need a little rest to rejuvenate the muscles as it maybe exhaustion and then you can go back to working out with out the pain (http://www.myphield.com/).
