View Full Version : Ring Training:Anybody Tried It Yet?
A little while ago at the gym I noticed this dude had a set of rings he had attached to one of the power racks,he was doing some dips.Well, the last time I had been on a set of rings was the very early 70's...I had to try again.I was about 70 lbs lighter back then,it was much harder than I expected. So I went and got a pair of safety slings from Princess Auto and hung them in my garage. This is seriously difficult to get deep dips,I've noticed that it really hits the inner pecs and tris hard.Anybody tried these things yet?

Sounds like a waste of a power rack to me.
I could see the benefit if you're a gymnast and need strong stabilizer muscles but as a bodybuilder it seems pretty retarded.

No, using a skipping rope in front of a squat rack is a waste of a squat rack like this turd was doing in the gym the other day for 20 minutes. :greet
We have enough racks,Kronis. As for stabilizers,I can think of a number of articles powerlifters wrote of routines to improve stability in their benchpress. This forces you to concentrate very intensely, and has improved the mind/muscle connection in my right tricep, which was lagging due to a nerve impingement suffered about 3 years ago. So,i am quite pleased in a rather short time.We did come out of the trees, right?
