is it possible to filter Ethyl Oleate (EO) with a whatman filter or will the filter get destroyed in the process? do i need a nylon filter for this process??

I Have filtered EO mix with a Watman Filter and it was fine,but pure EO don't know but give it a shot with 10ml and see.Maybe Nat would know shoot him a pm.

Filter will be fine, make sure its a pvdf membrane. PVDF is what ninja's use when filtering there gear.

btw, we need a homebrew section on this forum. IF the filter gets destroyed, then it's garbage. Most Whatman is a quailty product for the occasional user, i'd think you can use most with whatman,

I believe whatman is is a better quality ,/sterile filter, BUT if sterility don't' matter, the the PVDF filter look for, I'm sure there's many others but i believe whatmans is PVDF also, just strong and sterile, the normally PVDF filters will break with an decent pressure..
aim for a .25mm /Nylon/ME/PETE/ CA/PES/PFG the list goes on. but .25 seems to be the norm
.44 or .24 for water, is about what you'd look for.. If you dont' get a whatmans, then STUDY and make sure you get proper filter for application whatever that my be.

Yup..i make most of my shit with 50% EO in it.As for the filters,i have always used whatman .45 filtres as the .22 are ****ing hard to squeeze down especially after filtering 10mls or so

most recommend the 22 pore size, but like rickyboy36 says, hard to push, so you will want to rig a weight and apparatus to apply pressure for like an hour.

yes in a syringe filter, but dont worry i use a caulking gun, and it is not that bad, at all

with whatman and 18g it takes no time, last time i even used a millipore.45 and 20g, it was slower but that is due to the millipore not being as good as whatmans.

and wade if you use EO it is the only way to get prop actually painless(if you are not affected by it), but even if you are the small percentage that does have a reaction, then dont use straight EO, go with 50/50 or 70/30

Bro..prop is probably the only steroid i havent made yet.But if i was to,id use 70/30.seventy being EO.You could even make 200mgs/cc

well im gonna make 10mls in straight GSO with 2/20, if its to much then i will try 50/50 with 2/20, oh yea i only want 100mgs/ml.

last and only prop i used was @ 5%ba, 0%bb, it was i shitty first cycle, but after 4 years im itching to try it again.
