I'm sure most everyone has heard of this,but has anyone ever tried it with any succes.And if so would it work with quads & hams or chest & back

Its a routine thats been around for years,you train your bis & tris evey 1/2 hour usually for 2 sets each for 8 hrs.But i have never seen actual results,
just the routines,i"m thinking of trying it & see what happens,then i will know.
I have the time right now.

its just temporary inflamation from over training them,never heard of anybody doing it, but sometimes quads feel swollen and larger after extra hard workout
i will make a prediction:
It wont work.

Yeah, it can't be more than a minor pump or this workout would be a lot more popular, especially with the pros. Someone who's never worked out before might see some major gains from this, but that's it.
Haha saw it in a old Muscle mag.If its in a mag or a book it for real haha.

I wouldn't bother trying, but if you already did let us know. It's just not a very good idea. Won't work for a lot of reasons.

Don`t think it will work either, then again Poliquin was the one who popularized that, so it dosen`t surprise me.

Ah yes, this routine is based on the theory of fascia stretching through pumping the muscle up repeatedly throughout the day, and yes it is possible if you do it correctly, although keeping all the size is another topic altogether, what you want is to do many high rep sets throughout the day with out going near failure, your goal should be to do many reps concentrating on squeezing the muscle out, How can I know this? because I have experienced it myself, years ago I was obsessed with the whole "get a pump" thing, and was reading as much as I could about it, when I came across an article about this guy named johnny fuller, this guy lived for the pump and did gut wrenching sets of multiple reps like 50 rep sets, you should look this guy up, the vascularity this guy has is incredible even by todays standards, he is truly one of the first "freaks" of bodybuilding. anyhow I decided to try this for myself and did 6 sets of curls with reps from 25 but no less than 15, my biceps swelled so much by the end of the fifth set I had stretch marks! my biceps grew from one day? crazy I know but it happened, bout time I did another session like that. I forgot to mention that the size gained immedietly, will subside but I do believe this paved the way for more growth in the long run.

Has anyone actually read anything that proves "fascial stretching" does something? The DC extreme stretching is based around this theory also. I'm not sure I totally agree with it. I think other things are happening that people attribute to fascial stretching. If anyone knows of any research done (aside from that one bird study that Dante mentions) I'd be interested.

I kinda feel that its doubtful you could ever fully recreate the stretching technique used in those studies without injuring yourself in the process, i mean those techniques were designed for research purposes only and the animals were destined to be disposed of afterwards anyway.

wow some of you actually buy into this? its called a 1inch increase in PUMP, its not actual muscle growth for crying out loud.

Thats funny after posting I started doing some research and ran across the fst-7 article which stands for fascia stretch training haha thats basically what I was talking about and I think I did fst before it even was called that and didnt even know it! This guy goes on to say that extreme stretching isnt the way, and its better to stretch out the muscle from the inside out with blood pressure.

I've never bothered to find studies on it but I love fascial stretching. I've noticed that I recovery a lot faster and I feel like I'm making more progress because of it.
To me it just makes sense.

I seem to remember Fuller's sets being more in the 25-30 rep range.Lots of angles.

Will not work. It will just waste your time and possibly leave you really sore the next day. Don't forget to take your Cell-Tech and Nitro-Tech in between sets ;)
