this is what I do, i use 25 gauge 1 inch pins, once i have the oil in the syringe, I get this heat pad that you put in the microwave warm it up then put the syringe on it till it gets nice and warm.

then i switch the needles.

once your injecting inject the liquid nice and slow take your time.

thats what I usualy do and I hardly get any pain.

just remember to keep everything clean :)

heres a site that can help, www.spotinjections.com

ya thats fine it heats it up thins it out to draw the oil out, but it cools down so i use the heat pad to warm the gear up in the syringe while i'm swabing myself.

something that's not in the instructions.

after drawing the oil, I replace the needle with a fresh one. the tip can be bent and dulled, this can sometimes cause problems. never touch the rubber, the steel needle or the skin (the area that has been swabbed)

peace

i used to use 23G and warm my gear up...but im crazy and I have no problem using a 22G I actually PREFER the bigger gauge of a 22 over a 23... I dont have to warm my gear to draw and I can plunge alot easier before I was having to push so hard.

Dont need to switch pins either.

This is just me tho..damn well everyone else will be like " WHY USE THAT, WHY DO THAT BLAH BLAH BLAH.. IT HURTS WAY MORE BLAH BLAH BLAH"... well for me its better then anything else and feel no pain doing it!

hey DFA keep in mind youve probably done about as many injections as i have fingers.

Trust me you want to switch the tip after drawing and use 25g 1-1.5" for glutes, thighs. 25g 1"- or 5/8" for bi's tri's delts

Man I don't heat mine up at all. I did it for a few injections before but haven't for a long time. I use a 23. I don't find I get any soreness at all though....I follow the instructions above along with showering before I inject, changing the needle after I draw and massaging the injection site after I'm finished. I never ever do an injection before I sleep now, when I did in the past I would have some soreness in the area.

just gonna add a few more thoughts.

I've
always swithced pins after drawing
never heated up the oils, never found the need to. use 22g/23g and you don't have to
only use 25g for winny and water based
clean everything
touch nothing going in or near the inject. site
needles are cheap, order some 22's. 23's or 25g tips and replace that shit

there are several places that will descretly ship these to your front door for <$20

25 gauge 1 inch for everything. 23 gauge are harpoons to me :) Warm the dart up in the microwave for quicker absorption/less chance of of a built up in that area.

I also i like to stick the needle in slowly instead of jabbing it in... if you hit a nerve or something while going slow, you can just pull back nice and easy.. slowly is better than fast imho

X2. I want to start pinning my biceps, but 25 still feels too big lol I'm such a pussy.

really, see I was using a 25g to shoot some winny this morn. and i get the shit scared out of me when I see the needle start to bend/flex, I'm thinking flimsy ****ing thing better not break lmao. I mean in comparison to 23 or 22g. I use 22g for everything, and guess i'm just use to it.

I have never used anything smaller than a 23 guage and have had to use 21's with high concentration Winny (125mg/ml) at times.

And I only buy 1.5 inch pins in the 23 gauge size and use that everywhere - just don't drive it in all the way in front delt or traps or smaller muscles.

And until a few months ago, I always drew and injected with the same pin. Someone introduced me to 18g tips and I will admit that drawing with those is SO easy and quick, especially with some of the "thicker" preparations one might come across. And I do notice a much easier time of getting the needle in the muscle when you swap out to a new, fresh tip.

To heat up the gear, I just run the filled syringe barrel under the hottest water I can get out of my tap. Seems to work for me.

Remember to swab the rubber stopper with 70% iso alcohol BEFORE drawing from the vial. Easy step in preventing picking up something bacterial or whatever off the surface of the stopper.

i personally heat the vial in the bathroom sink under hot water while i get ready draw with a 23 1.5 shoot with a 25 1 " also after i draw i use a hair dryer to heat the syringe up till its nice and warm as my gear is real thick then shoot away, obviously i clean the site and the stopper like mad with a alcohol prep pad cause i have had some bad luck b-4 and havent had a problem since.

see i worry about contamination by water touching the pin, and the hair dryer is spraying dirty dust all over the thing, take a look at the hair dryer motor or air intake and see the collection. sometimes these things break loose, microscopic dust particles might stick to the pin.

I always thought that the inside of the syringe was sterile when it came out of the package.

So if we need to clean the plunger, should we be swabbing the inside of the barrel if this is the case ?

^^^^^ no no no no no

wait

stop

the rubber stopper on the vial requires a quick swab before and after drawing.

leave the syringe alone. it is sterile

Yes I am talking about the rubber stopper in your vial of go-go juice:)

I do that too. Seems to work fine. Hitting a nerve really sucks!!

if you are a complete noob, then i suggest going for a hot shower on inject site before shot.

and on the nerve issue, damn i am shooting mon/thurs, so ive been waiting 4 days and i finally got to shoot this morning(quad) and i dont know if i hit a nerve, but my muscle contracted with the needle still in and i have no idea what i did different,

Doesn't anyone else draw up the oil with an 18g needle (then switch to something more inject-worthy like a 23g)?

yep...draw with 18, shoot with 25g 1.5

Dozer1980

agreed let me restate, i sit the bottom half of the vial in a sink with hot water in it clean the stopper then draw and by the time its ready my gear is usually not warm in the vial anymore so i re-cap it heat it with the hair dryer, then change pins swab the site and shoot.

Ya hitting nerves sucks... the worst nerve i hit was surprisingly in my glutes... my right cheek was twitching like a madman:D

since we are on the injecting issue, what is the general pratice on this board?

i always inject muscle that i am going to workout, about 20-30 min preworkout. i read somewhere that with compounds like prop, that this should not be done as the hormone crystalizes in the muscle, then the workout actually tears more muscle from the hormone?

you know how it is, half of whats posted is BS, but not sure about this one.

so is this a fact?, and should i be injecting the muscle im working out?

sorry OP not trying to hijack thread.

I always try and do the oposite, I once did a little over 1cc in the dealt and went and did shoulders. halfway through a heavy set I felt something pop, llike the shit exploded out of the muscle. I'm not saying difinitively that thats what happened but i'm pretty sure and i've been paranoid ever since.
