First of all I usually sit on the sidelines and read the posts and info being offered on the site. However, today I am frustrated I have been trying to work through a sore left shoulder (for 4 weeks now) and no matter what I did it would limit my workouts. So off I go to see the doc and as I already knew without an MRI it's hard to be sure what the injury is. So now I have to rest, ice/anti inflammatory, and physio and hope for a quick heal. Heres the deal my wife and I leave for the Dominican in early May and I was hoping to train really hard for the final four weeks to look a little better. I have been through shoulder seaprations(x2) when younger playing football. Two years ago I tore my MCL and meniscus in my knee while in my Juijitsu club. I am getting frustrated with having to fight through injuries. Although this one appears to be minor. I guess I am wondering how many other guys/gals have had to fight through injuries? I need some inspiration!!!

lemme see... in the last 9 months I've had:

Patella tendon injur5y to the point where I had to stop training legs for 3 months
brachialis muscle tear worked through it and is good now but I am still cautious
inflamed rotator cuff (have torn it twice before)
MCL tear (different leg from the patella)

Outside the MCL... all of these occurred while trying to prep for a show last summer. I was pushing it way harder than I should have in the gym as my body didn't seem to be responding.

right now and given the above I am starting to feel pretty good but still cautious and not going heavy at all. Reps are in the 10-12 range.

Wow besides the sports hernia i had last summer I forgot about it (july/aug 6 weeks of frustration). Compared to natenator I feel like a pansy. I have a physio session now for Monday and I will just train through the pain.
