How many use Electronic muscle stimulation for body building?
please tell us your frequency / Rate / and placement!
Thanks!

This excerpt is taken from "science and practice of strength training"
by Zatsiorsky and Kraemer.
The following EMS routine, known as the Russian protocol, is typically used:
Carrier signal - sinusoidal or triangle
frequency - above 2,500 Hz
Modulation - 50 Hz
Duty cycle - 50 % ( the signal is applied for 10 ms with a 10-ms interval between trials )
Stimulus amplitude (SA) - adjusted individually to induce a force above 100% of maximal voluntary isometric force Fmm or to the limit of subject tolerance;SA depends on the output impedance of the stimulator and typically exceeds 90 V
Contraction time - 10 s
Rest between contractions - 50 s
Number of contrations - 10 per day
Number of training days - 5 per week
The most important feature of the described stimulation protocol is the frequency of the carrier signal, which should be located in the sound frequency band, above 1,500 hz. EMS, when performed properly, is almost painless. The electrode should be wetted with a special paste to achieve homogeneous electrical resistance at the the skin-electrode interface.
Hope that helps get you started,
