Forget it . I read the other thread. I have nothing to add, lots of good advice. I'd flat bench with low rep dips.

yeah, agree. Eat. Do it smartly and you can gain with minimal bodyfat. What are your typical maintenance calories for an average week of training (everything you do that is considered training) for you?

I do think you should gain some more weight (as most said) get heavier again, and tran the hell outta chest, well all over..
I met a member from here like 15-20 yrs ago.. and when i FIRST seen him he was about 6ft ish and 220lbs, i belive one week out to some show, or very close, when i seen him, was thinking he looked normal for weight BUT wow , soon as sweat shit or coat came off, you could see all the cuts and defintion in arms etc..
After his show was over, he went back to normal weight (i call street wear) and he was 280-290lbs, looked like a freak of nature... was HUGE all over, even walking was akward.. (loved that look) but seemed, for his off season, his thing was EAT EAT EAT, just watch what eat, and train any laggin part extra hard, or something to add more focus on which ever body part,
I find, training and eating is the biggest part of ones look...keep the protein in body flowing and train your chesst with low volume /high weighs and should see more growth as some seem to stay lean all year, imho it does ont help you to grow as its very hard for one to know EXACTLY what body needs, at a time.. so over kill will help., and your body will have fuel to grow muscle

BTW, you good great and cut, possible your boddy needs bit more?

the problem is he is a hockey player so he can't afford to add size for the sake of adding size. There is a tricky and fine line he has to walk because I imagine he keeps his cardio up and we all know how difficult it is to gain muscle while killing the cardio.

bingo. it also has a lot to do with what i can afford at this time. my bills are literally more than i make every month, so my debt just keeps growing while im in school. this summer i should be able to pay off a good amount of it and eat a lot better. i have been stuck eating lean ground beef and veggies for the past several months. hot sauce / barbeque sauce have become my best friends because ground beef tastes pretty horrid on its own.

i think im going to revert back to just eating lots of sandwiches. multi grain bread and chicken / egg salad every day all day. ive been eating relatively low carb to try and keep the water weight off but this summer i am going to pull out all the stops and gain the appropriate size / speed / conditionin necessary. i appreciate the feedback thus far, everything has been helpful.

get medium ground beef (cheaper)

crumble it up in a big pan and fill with water

cook until 90% cooked. Strain under hot water for several minutes to ensure as much fat is drained as possible.

wipe pan clean and put GB back in the pan and cook with hot sauce and ketchup - just enough for some spice and flavour.

do 8-10oz of ground beef and a cup of rice. costs like $1.40 per meal.

Look like you prob have a good metabolism so you can eat these meals frequently along with your cardio and prob not gain much fat.

find a friend with a costco membership. Go get their egg white cartons. 16 egg whites in one carton, add 1cup oatmeal (dry measure) and there's another meal for like $1.60

1.5 cans of tuna, some fat free mayo and 6 rice cakes... about $1.50 per meal.

it is possible...

luckily my pops has a costco membership and he picks up my egg whites. i mix half a carton with a scoop of whey and i drink them. ya, switching to medium ground might be a better idea, good call. ill try that. i was thinking of adding some pasta and sauce to my diet consistently to up the cals. i find pasta to be the easiest to eat and the cheapest.

yah you can bulk on a small budget but youre gonna be stuck eating the same thing day in day out, if you can deal with that you have no prob

another thing is you plan on bulking in the summer...i would rethink, save $$$, and then go for it in the winter... reason being, youre gonna be putting on a gut, and fat, and well doesnt look too good when youre going skins

dude, i got loong as arms like you ( 79" reach) and benching like a bb will kill the shoulders......try benching with elbows in at the bottom and flare them towards lockout for more lockout power......

If you want another cheap meal idea, try buying a whole turkey out of season (ie. not before Thanksgiving or Christmas), removing all the skin and fat, adding some salt, and throwing it in the oven for a few hours. Once it's cooled a bit, remove all the meat and toss it in the fridge in small containers. It'll be dry as hell the way it is, but if you cook them for a minute or two in some sort of sauce it'll taste great.

I picked up a 20lb turkey for about $20 so that should come out to around to a little over a dollar for a 10 ounce serving.

He means tuck in your elbows when you are going down (similar to a close grip bench). Then on the way up bring your elbows out more. When your upper arms go lower than your torso w/ your elbows out at a 90 degree to your body it puts a lot of stress on your shoulders. Also can make you susceptible to pec tears.
