Anyone with experience with short blast cycles such as 4-6 weeks of Test Prop and Dbol? It is worth it? Gains?

Is PCT needed with short use like this?

I wouldn't bother, unless there was some impending doom that caused you to feel the need to bulk up quick. Otherwise, I don't feel like it settles enough or your body adjusts quick enough to get enough bang for your buck.

agree with Flexy......I have tried them...you lose most of what you gain even with PCT.

I disagree ,Easier on the system hitting it for 6-8 weeks then a 4-6 week layoff. If done properly gains can be maintained and added with each consecutive cycle. The longer you are on increases the chances of side effects as well.

A guy Im training I have on this and he growing like a weed and will be doing damage when he competes again next year.

Not a fan of short cycles. I usually start getting my best gains weeks 11-15 and up.

The issue with short cycles is very minimal strength gains occur during 6 weeks...your strength basically starts to move at weak 5 and then a week later you are shutting down. Thus you never really get the chance to move serious weight and without that you arent getting huge. I would reserve short blast type cycles for tested athletes because it is vital to keep their HPTA functioning normallly for testing as well as they are limited to what can be used ie predominantly orals and HGH.

What about a 8 weeker cycle?

Is it a short cycle? or could it be a good compromise between a short cycle and a longer one.

Since time on = time off (well, supposed to be) the shorter the cycle, the faster you start another one. What are yours thoughts about this?

I've just tried a short cycle and threw it out of the window. ( I've only used long ester cycles and hated the long recovery time )
Used short esters, orals etc and did see some gains within 3 weeks, but when it actually came to going off as planned my body just started growing. Seems to me that your body needs a few weeks to get ready for muscle growth, which is consistent with what P just wrote.

Well, I gave up on running short cycles and won't go below 10 weeks in the future... just so much more rewarding
