I've got 16 pounds of unflavoured whey isolate from True Protein. I'll tell you tonight.

protein is protein. It's the flavour system that determines taste. Unless using hydrolized whey. That shit is just plain baaaad.

TP shipping is expensive.

I was going to try true protein, the deal is o.k. but not that good. The 100% concentrate deal is 99$ for 25lbs. But with shipping, exchange and getting 2 flavor packs you`re looking at paying close to $200. That`s $40 for 5lbs, for a cheap pure concentrate powder.

I`ve bought clearance stuff from physique for less expensive. I know he`s not making money off this, but at least it gets the product out of his storing space or helps him buy higher volume to get better prices.

As usual people don't seem to realize there is a difference between, concentrates, blends and isolates.

Physiques group buy on isolate @ 10 / pound plus shipping is a bit better price than TP's at the moment and I'll be ordering another 20 pounds from him.

If you are buying concentrates and blends there are always sales and price competition.
If you are buying isolate sales are few and far between and the pricing is extremely consistent. With concentrates and blends you can stick all sorts of shit in the bottle to get your costs down. Isolate on the other hand is pretty much a commodity with a mark up.

I bought 25lbs of True Protein's 'recession blend' (concentrate, isolate and hydrolyzed). It's raw, no flavour so on it's own it tastes pretty bad. I tried a couple of their natural flavour packs, but they're not good. I don't like the taste of Stevia. They say the serving size is 1/10 teaspoon yet it takes almost a full 1/2 teaspoon to taste anything at all from it.

Other than that, since I'm in the US it was a good deal... $130 something shipped for 25lbs of protein.

I'm hoping it's quality whey. People said it is, so I was trusting their judgement.

Before this I was drinking nearly expired protein isolate from Optimum Nutrition, which was starting to taste like the plastic container it was sitting in... and I also think it was losing it's potency. I'm never buying expired or nearly expiring protein again.

It's less effective, isn't it? Why would you want to consume protein that's lost it's potency...

Whey Depot Tastes like SHIT! Mixes like shit too. It tastes like CHEAP chinese crap protein... I got some and tasted it ONCE, I didnt lke it AT ALL, I got in contact with them regarding there shit product. They said they have NEVER had a bad review. I asked for a refund, and they declined me a refund because I opened it.

Stick with Fitness-ect or Pumphouse they will treat you right...

The difference is minimal and can`t say I see a difference. But with some recent difficulties, can`t say I`ve trained very much to see a negative difference in training. Plus with all the recent rises in price, it dosen`t work out for me anyway so I get the bargain stuff.

Just an observation of the quality of whey depot concentrate. Per serving it has 20 grams of protein 4 grams of fat and 6 grams of carbs. They should change their name to whey cheapo. Even I wouldn`t use that crap.

^^^ That`s what I`d do if I were him. I mean if you`re going to be using something year round you want the best possible price and in bulk is where it`s at. There are not many bulk sources in Canada not that I know of anyway, maybe it`s an open market type opportunity.

I think Whey Depot's protein is very old protein gone stale and sour. Seriously. That shit was rancid.

If you are going to flame at least get your facts straight. The breakdown is 22g protien, 2g fat, and 2g carb.

Wasen`t flaming, was stating facts. Check the site and look what is listed under the whey protein concentrate and it says exactly what I posted.

I did look....I will send you a pm with the link I saw. I am willing to admit I am wrong if you send me a link with contrary information. This discussion should not really being taking place out of respect for the advertisers.

Nevermind the pm. Just take a look under whey concentrate, not the blend. It was just a case of selective reading you did, I do it all the time... As far as the advertisers, this place is no competition to them! The reviews here are bad so what`s the threat?

I did look again. It is you that was not looking at the concentrate but at the Premium. In the Premiums ingredients it is listed as whey concentrate. I was looking at the bulk concentrate. The numbers I listed were correct for the product I was viewing. Your numbers are correct for the product you were viewing.

Ahh yes. It's cause they have a ****ed up website. They use anchor links within a long html page to take you to the products

Ah screw it... O.k. someone on that site must be reading this thread because now the concentrate is only listed under the 25lbs. They are not even showing the availability of the 2,5,10lbs. Someone trying to make me look stupid here? Or is that site just ****ed?

Also the protein concentrate with less carbs and fat is unflavored. Maybe the other concentrates I was looking at is flavored. But still that`s alot of fat and carbs. If one takes 2 scoops of the flavored you get 8 grams of fat and 12 grams of carbs. If those stats are indeed correct in the first place...
