Anyone know any other downsides to cutting with a long acting ester testosterone other than the water retention?

Just the length that it takes to start to kick in, but I can get fairly lean off a test e only cycle. My face is the only part of me that looks like it is holding water.

Do you mean the water retention in your face, but leaning out? It is your diet that is allowing your body to lean out, but you aren't drinking enough water, that is why I look like a ninja turtle at 5 weeks.

Keep the sodium to an absolute minimum and your moon face shouldn't happen, with conjunction of an AI.

i agree with this statement. test E did wonders for my abdomen on a moderately good diet. the AI kept all water at bay while allowing steady gains.

I find I go flat without enough sodium, I just have to time my sodium to pre workout and mornings. Also, when I drop sodium, I up potassium.

Test E doesn't take a long time to "kick" in...

As for the posters question. You will be fine to diet on any form of test. Whether you lean out or not is going to depend on your diet and I would add cardio 3 days a week.

If you choose to go with a test enanthate use frequent injections for stable blood levels and optimal results.

Your blood levels have to stabilize before you start noticing any consistent effect.

I lean out as well on test E. Lean but muscular looking! :)

Takes a long time 3-4 weeks to see notable physical changes.

Nah. A long ester is a long ester and will not work any better with EOD or ED injects. Twice a week is usual, though some use it once a week with reportable results.

Do not do this...especially while dieting. While dieting on lower carbs a higher level of sodium is essential. As long as you are taking in adequate water you will not retain any...your body will maintain homeostasis and flush any excess sodium out. If you restrict sodium the your body will sense this because of the lower electrolyte levels in your blood and your aldosterone levels will rise thus creating....yes you got it water retention.
Use an AI such as aromasin and you will not retain any water from estrogen. Keep sodium and water intake levels moderate...dont restrict either.

EOD is a much better protocol with long esters. By doing this you keep blood levels much more stable and you will feel better and have much less sides...ie acne etc

this is a great post - too many guys on the low carb diet are restricting their sodium too far.....

i also find too much test can be hard to handle even with AI - there's an upper limit where too many sides and other drugs have to be taken to combat excess dosages

Great info Praetorian. What sort of daily sodium intake should I be looking at on a low carb diet?

I've always thought that one had to keep as minimal as possible. Apparently not. This is good to hear cause I love my spices. Mrs. Dash just doesn't cut it :) Bit bland.

I've had great success cutting with Test E in the past. Ran 400mg for 12 weeks and it worked great. As previously stated, incorporate an AI to cut down the bloat and you'll be golden.
