this is ****ing bullshit...wtf are they scared of ?...lets let the less than 1 % decide what best for us!! the vote should be left to the people to decide what we want for sports in our community not the fat **** heads in politics that think they know whats best for us....like the ****ing winter 2010 olymipcs that will cost the tax payers ****ING HUGE...budgets that have double tripled....building a hotel for the families and friendS of competitor is costing up to a billion dollars and it was said it would of been cheaper to pay for hotel rooms insead of building places for them to stay...**** I hate this bullshit..we the people have no ****ing say...GRRRRRRRRRR

They aren't letting it come to Ontario either as it's against the criminal code or some crap.
How retarded is it, that during a ****ing recession Our Country doesn't want a piece of the hottest thing going right now... Ridiculous

total hypocrisy - 2 consenting trained adults being paid in a proffesional fight is no good...
Meanwhile, in a hockey game guys who have no business/intention of fighting get shitpumped all the time ... which is technically assault.
Vancouver should take advantage of all the local economic stimulus they can considering the bath we are about to take on the 2010 games (which probably is a big 'prestige reaosn' why they are keeping it out for now).

I believe there was a big government guy from Ontario at ufc 97 checking things out so maybe MMA has a future there.

re-tilly-arded. like big L said, prolly some olympic influence there and thats ridiculous considering pankration was an olympic original.
some of the comments in the province newspaper showcase the general public's ignorance....one guy said it would be all gang members attending MMA events, lmao.
Didn't another boxer die a few days ago?I can't recall any really serious injuries in MMA besides the odd broken bone.

We still got Quebec.
Dana "vowed to bring it to toronto" but I doubt it.

I would wager 1000 bucks it won't happen in our lifetime....ok at least for 2 decades until teh current Ontario pro- judo , point spar Czar dies.
