Solution to all this tasering shit and cops that can't fight.

Cops need to be physically fit, 250lbs, 6'4" min and know how to defend themselves. No need for weapons anymore and not many would **** with em.

I agree with what you said. Tell that to the granolas who let 2 women who are 5 foot 4 125lbs each patrol the streets.

You're telling me? I KNOW BRO!!

Aylmer and Gatineau are known for having the youngest selection of new cadets./...most of the new generation over the bridge are under 20 years of age or JUST over 20.

I walked into a Tims the other night in \Aylmer, there were two cops sitting in the stablishment, they looked at me with this look in their face, ready to hand me their wallets, batches, cruiser keys and their guns....damn all I wanted was a cup of coffee.

These new generation of cops are a shame to the recruiting team :D :D

That's why you get som many more shootings these days. They are scared and fear makes them make mistakes. I love those 5'2" 90 pound cops. Those chicks make me laugh. I once had to pick up a western union late at night an dthe only one open is on Jane/Finch/. I went through a red and I was stopped by a chick cop and it was in front of a high rise that was dark as hell. She was literally shaking in her boots. I told her to cool it and opened the interior lights and kept my hands outside. I asked her to cuff me since she was shitting bricks. It's not good when they are scared. She still gave me the ticket though. Bitch.

Or the poor ****er that got tazered to death in the BC airport for picking up a stapler! While, what, five cops standing around watching. Don't police learn some hand-to-hand combat? Ridiculous.

Yeah because it was their intent to kill the guy *sigh*

No because it was unlawful use of force that resulted in death. That is why they should not be charged with murder but manslaughter instead. The charge of manslaughter means murder without intent to kill.

I tend to agree. Maybe Police should have bouncer training! How many deaths does it take before laws need to change anyway. It its pathetic. Please don't hit me with a stapler...

yeah, throw the tazers away, and beat everyone down old school way with dogs, billy clubs and lead packed gloves.

then, when someone dies from being coked out of their mind and getting beat down by 4 cops so they can take him in custody...what will everyone cry about then?

**** you guys crack me up

i can say with certainty, that I will NEVER get my ass kicked by the police. Ever. Not even a remote possibility.
If you get a beating, you probably did something to warrant one. If you get tazed....you probably are doing something that requires some voltage.

That is so true. Like that crazy bitch we all saw who got tazed. The cops keep saying "mam step out of your vehicle" about 37 times. ****ing bitch just cooperate. Same with me when I work at the club. I ask someone politely to go outside because they have their jacket and we have to clear the area. The guy dosen`t listen and has to be physically taken outside. People really have no respect for authority these days, and when they are punished or diciplined, well they go apeshit. So in a sense I really understand what these guys must go through. And for anyone out there who thinks it`s cool to be a doorman. Think again. These drunks get annoying as **** and unlike you think, you`re no allowed to hit them. You can choke them and that`s about it.

Point is if something is wrong with the person. Mentally unstable. Do they deserve to be tasered and risk death? Robert Dziekanski was unstable, scared and frustrated. They tasered him 5 times which led to his heart failure. What they did was criminal in my books. Watch the video. They motioned for him where to go and he was complying. Then they tasered him. The liberal use of tasers is what I'm against. If someone is deemed a danger to them, then by all means use it. But if the person is being aggressive and resisting, sorry, a taser is not the answer. Be a big boy and get your hands dirty and subdue the person. That's part of the job. Not sir, move over there. What did you say? You said no? ZAP ZAP ZAP.

I am a citizen and if I am ever put into a situation where I'm confronted by the police, I do not feel safe anymore. HELLO?? These are the guys that are supposed to PROTECT US. Soon we'll need police to police our police. It was criminal what they did. In my eyes it will always be. Taser should be LAST resort if they can subdue someone. If they want to zap everyone, then either hold them criminally responsible or maybe they are just in the wrong line of work and need to be let go.

It`s all about decision making. Tasing someone 5 times is completly stupid. But if you tell someone 5-10 to do something and they don`t do it, action must be taken. Put it this way, most likely the guy if you try to put him in a lock will resist and fight back. Then you will have to get even more physically involved or maybe bringing in other officers to help you out. As much as we like to think of ourselves as being physically domimant, if some dude is all hyped up, there is little chance you can take him one on one. Usually will take a good 3 guys to get a hold of him and settle him down if he does. The way I see it with the taser, if needed, tase the guy, watch him flip out like a fish, get him cuffed and put him in the car. End of story. Or even better get that net gun you showed!

why should a cop who has a family and kids risk HIV or HEP fighting with some piece of shit.

If they refuse an order from a police officer.. ZAP plain and simple.

This country is the pussiest country on earth besides Japan when it comes to how the police react to passive and active resistance. We have it pretty darnned good here.

Go try to pull that shit in Russia, or china, or the far east, south america, middle east, USA, .... you will get tazed, sprayed, beat, shot, disappeared, attacked by dogs, and then buddy with the video camera taping it will get tazed, sprayed, beat, shot, disappeared, attacked by dogs and his video camera taken away.

everyone bitches and cries about the big bad police... shit guys, if i really wanted... i could go the rest of my life and not ever have to talk or interact with a cop. just dont cause shit. especially in an airport.

^^^ The man speaks the truth. Sure there will be a few who take advantage of their power, it`s unfortunate, but happens in every field.

they should not be charged with anything. this guy may have been fed up but he was posing a legitimate threat to other passengers. the last place you get to have a meltdown is at an airport. its a tragedy that he died, but a taser is a non fatal use of force 99.99% of the time. if you dont want to get tasered, dont freak the **** out and disobey orders from security and police.

As some may know , I was cop for a brief period in the late 90's and I have some reservations about the use of tazers. Tazers are a double edged sword. Like pepper spray , they were only brought in because of so many women are now in the field. Besides that , the forces no longer have a size requirement like in the old days. This makes for wimpy male cops too. Not to say that uneducated goons make for good cops. It's just another tool for people who can't handle themselves physically/fight and who can't use the most powerful thing at their disposal - THEIR MOUTHS!!! Communication and the power of persuasion are the keys in compliance. In the RCMP airport case there was a language barrier with a mentally unstable person so that is a special case. Still , a part of me thinks that a big physical cop or two could have brought him down with his/their hands alone. On the other hand , who knew that tazering him would stop his heart ? I always chose to have as much patience as possible in getting someone to calm down or comply. Then I would threaten to use force and make a gesture towards my baton. Simply grabbing it or holding it in my hand made a guy think twice. Pepper spray and tazers are temporary pain. A well aimed baton can lop off an arm , or make the dude wish he didn't have arms or legs. It is a maiming machine and I thank God I never had to use one .Well ,maybe just once.
Cops on the street do not receive enough training for physical encounters. IMO the best training is for a pre existing knowledge of some sort of martial arts or experience as a bouncer. People who can't take care of themselves to beging with aren't gonna get the knowledge and skills they need in 3-6 months at police college.

pinhead...did they actually say the tazer stopped his heart?? did i miss that?

also, that language barrier is A HUGE DEAL...

and, there are police to police the police...rat bastards...lol

tazers are much better than breaking your hand on some ****s face, or worse...break their bones....get sued, they get victims of crimes compensations..ect ect....just total bullshit...plus the cop be off on sick leave...tazers should save money

also.heres a little diagram
