hey guys long time no talk. iv been realy busy and have not been at the comp for a while now. so i thouhgt i would start a thread about my shity eyes!

For the last couple weeks my eyes have started to hurt when i read text off the computer. It sucks because any more then 10-15 min at the comp and my eyes start to feel like there burning! So does this mean ill prolly need to gert "reading glases"? lol It hurts after a while when reading a book too!

Also... how much do eye exams cost anyway?

I sometimes get those symptoms when I've tired out my eyes from to much computer. If it persists, go get a checkup, it's not expensive. Don't go through the pain for nothing. Reading glasses aren't as nerdy as they used to be.

ya probably need reading glasses, they do sell reading glasses at dollarama, obviously they're not for everyone but thats what my dad uses and they work great for him

Ya reading glases are not bad i wouldnt mind them at all. Would my eyes continue to get worse untill they get rite ****ed if i didnt get glases? If i need them i'll get them for sure im just wondering if eyes worse and worse if you dont do anything about it...

as a temporary fix, you can change size of text on your computer.
for Internet Explorer click "view" and scroll down to "text size"

I think i saw a sign that saif FREE EYE EXAM at one of the shops around here. Do eye do glasses stores actualy do that or am i thinking of something else maby?

i dont know if it would continue to get worse, I know my eyes were terrible when i was younger and i refused to wear glasses, I couldnt see anything that was further then 5 feet from me. my eyes never got worse just stayed the same. but i constantly had a headache

yes sir, now that I grew up out of that stage that glases aren't cool, i wear them all the time. its nice to be able to see haha,

you got to go to an optometrist for an eye exam, my opt charges me $60 for a basic eye exam.

I was the same way as a kid, HATED to wear glasses. now that I'm older I dont mind at all. Its actually a good look if you find a pair that suits you.
I get compliments when I wear my glasses. some women really go for it.
I still wear my contacts most of the time though.

Bump for the "look" glasses can give you. I have a pair of the invisible glasses, the ones where you can`t see the frames and they look really good on me. Just don`t buy those stupid big ass RUN DMC glasses that are in style now... It was most likely a question of sooner or later...
