Hey gang. I'm going to be taking next week off from my diet, and taking the family to West Edmonton Mall for the kid's spring break.

I am going to continue training, (getting a weekly pass at the Gold's WEM), but I am going to lax a bit on the eating.

Can anyone out there suggest any awesome places to pig out in the Edmonton area?

in West ed mall theres this ...i think its called bourbon street.

Its like a chain of restaurants in one area. bp's, tony romas, moxies, all that shit, all within a 10 second indoor walk from each other.

lots of vagina there to, just sayin

I would check out the Hooters, but I don't think my wife would approve. Oh well, maybe i'll have to wait till she falls asleep, then sneak out for a beer.
tee hee.

yah i forgot theres a hooters in that little strip of restaurants to.
its over rated though, the food sucks, and they could fit their menu selection on the back of your hand.

if your going for beer and wings to hooters its fine. if your going to eat your gonna be dissapointed

Some edmonton eating thoughts...

Alberta steak can be very very good - most of the better hotels.
There is an awesome Greek restauraunt on whyte ave - I once ate most of their menu.
If you like czech food bistro praha downtown is very good (if you like wienerscnitzel - I've met several who do not).

breakfast (bulking phase only LOL) Barb and Ernies !!! 99st good eggs benny

dim sum - jumbo dim sum on 170st

sushi - the freshest and best in the region is in st.albert at Koto, off st.albert trail

steak house - the best i have ever been to in edmonton so far is ruth chris's steakhouse. i went in September and had a $400 meal though, so if you have the family........ watch out. I love the Keg as well....good steaks, and cheap compared to anywhere else.

regular all around family dining - go to earls, olive garden, joeys, century grill, the keg... any of those name brand places are good

if youre on the south side, its worth checking out Healthfare. they are on 23 ave, and offer organic, and various well done health food meals, in a fast food type restaurant

Additional must try's: Café Select downtown, the blue pear downtown, il forno (italian) west end, and I WANT to try The Red Piano on Bourbon Street W.E.M.

Oh well, I am really looking forward to it!!!!!

There is a great cupcake bakery on the west end ...off of Stony Plain Road next to Shark Club ...your kids will probably love it!

Surprised no one has mentioned Lux, DeLux Burger bar and Century grill, Il Forno is awesome as in Picolio Bistro for Italian. Ric's Grill is also very good and the West Ed location is just a block or two past WEM.

Also depending on where your staying consider going to the Golds in Westmount, the WEM location sucks; everyone treats that place like a social club instead of a gym.
