If I recall correctly CBB has around 2000 members.....I would imagine that most of MN members have registered here at some point or another.

Just checked out MN...the site is down.
MN was my first Canadian site ever....I networked the offshore U.S. sites for around 2 years prior to discovering that WE Canucks had sites here too lol--that's around 4-5 years ago.

CBB is where we will meet at from now on.

He is actually such a smart and funny guy, when not on Nexus... just makes you wonder if he just wasnt cut out for msg boards... some people just dont ever get the whole interacting with people on the net thing... or maybe he was just so passionate about the place, he tried TOO hard to keep things straight...

Surprisingly good guy, though... its very hard to look at his wedding pics and relate that guy to the one that ruled Nexus with an iron fist...lol

Hey physique. Tell BR I send him my congrats.

BR was a big reason for the success of MN. He helped me build it up with intelligent answers and being overall helpful and knowledgeable. I couldn't have asked for a better mod. He did have a group that didn't like him but he kept MN clean which is what I thank him for. It's not that easy to mod year after year. Things get to you after awhile. I wish him success in whatever he does. He deserves it.

I wish I was around more toward the end of MN's glory days as I may have been able to diffuse the explosion that happened between a group of members and him. He had a way lower tolerance level than I had and the members used to push on those buttons. I guess it's all in the dynamics of a large site. But regardless, I thank him for the help he gave me and the canadian bodybuilding community in general.

I know some of you here have a beef with BR. I don't and I don't have a beef with you members either. My goal is to have a community/forum where everyone is welcome and participates. I make sure everything runs smooth on the technical end and I what I want most is that the members make sure everything runs smooth on the posting/membership end. That way we don't need to moderate anyone and everything stays and feels fair. We have mods now because things got out of hand before xmas. As we grow, I guess we'll need more but the more we stay "mature" the less problems we'll have with moderating the board and beefs with mods. There is very little politics on CBB behind the scenes. Very little means about 0%. The only thing that may be considered politics is that I try to keep the board fair and growing for the sponsors. So far so good.

I never had any run ins with BR either but I would def take Doc M as a mod over BR any day. Doc was much more diplomatic IMO.

BR would lock a thread down so no one could post in it, then post his own rebuttals to things that were discussed in the thread which is like trying to deal with a 5 year old that has control of the situation. Childish and immature from my standpoint. This is where some peeps started getting pissed at him and started going after him all the time, IMO, but who knows. I know some of it was funny as hell between him and Bana at the end there.

I did meet the dude in person and he seemed alright, and I would meet up with him again for sure.

If he reads this then congrats on the marriage bro and have a good one.

and to be clear, i have no problem with BR. although i didnt agree with his modding style (turbo's post outlines a good example of why), he is a decent guy. he played a big part in MN's success, just as many others did.

It's turning out to be a little more complicated than I thought. Backed up files were not sql but something that I must convert back to sql before I can restore. And it's in an older version than what i have installed here so it failed.

I'm working on a project that's finished in a day or so then I can give complete attention to resolving this issue. Sorry for the delay guys.
