Found this article on wired... personally I never had problems with acne while on cycles. I wonder what this guy was doing to get this.

http://blog.wired.com/wiredscience/2008/08/graphic-evidenc.html

"Know anybody who's using steroids and just won't stop, despite all your good advice?
Then show them this picture. (Potentially NSFW, and gross -- hence its after-the-jump position.)
Depicted is a 21-year-old amateur bodybuilder who arrived at a clinic in Dusseldorf, Germany with severe acne on his chest and upper back.
He was a constant user of anabolic-androgenic steroids, of which acne is a side effect -- as is damaged sperm and shrunken testicles, both of which he also possessed.
Doctors ordered the patient to quit steroids and start taking antibiotics. Two months later, the acne was gone. So was the muscle. Only gruesome scarring remained -- and as his doctors wrote last week in the Lancet, that "is likely to remain with the young man for the rest of his life."

I'm thinking the same thing... photoshopped, just to give juice a bad name.

I think this was in NEJM so definetely not photoshopped.

And yeah, its definitely possible to look like that 2 months apart. He went from being very cut and tan to getting a significantly higher BF with a lot of muscle loss with shitty protein low diet most likely.

A good buddy of mine went to jail mid-cycle and got really bad cystic acne(not nearly as bad as the pic!) from crashing and is still scarred up pretty bad 3 years later. Completely wrecked the skin on his face and back so Im thinking the pic could be real

thats a 1 in a million chance, im not worried... the guy probably had predisposition to it, look at the first pic looks like he has pretty bad scarring to begin with

Great scare tactics...even if the kid had some bad acne...all that is necessary is antibiotics or at worst accutane. It would have all but disappeared with no effect to his muscle.

that guy without any doubt in my mind exacerbated his problem somehow.

he picked at it, he was not clean, and he left it. He probably developed a severe case of acne, but what we see here is something beyond that acne... ****, what did he do??? Use a cheese grater on his chest?
Should have gone to the doctor earlier, now he is ****ed for life

See what happens when you let Mr. O cum on your manboobs? You get manboob herpes.

that's some sick shit ! holy crap, i've never seen such a bad case. How come the docs didn't put him on accutane ? i thought it was considered the 'gold standard'...

it says he's used steroids before and then he broke out with acne like that?
i wonder what his face looked like...almost looks like a horrible case of allergic dermatitis or something?

i dunno, something about this sounds really fishy to me??

That looks like shingles or something. That or they used a dyed antibiotic. A friend crashed a scooter in Cuba and the topical antibiotic they put on it was the color that guy is. . pink/purple and made the scrapes look 1000 times worse.

I saw this awhile back, if it is real its his fault, how the **** do you let something like that develop...

has anyone ever run accutane at the same time as a cycle? isnt that a pretty big strain to put on your system??

a good friend of mine had REALLY bad acne in high school. huge cystolic acne literally the size of ping pong balls on his face, shoulders and back.

this guy looks like he caught fire and someone tried to put him out with a fork.

Damn. Poor guy.

weird thing was though he grew out of it in a couple years and he has virtually no scarring from it. hes a great guy too. people used to make fun of him about it and i would freak out on them. good hockey player too. :)

he took steroids, then he developed acne conglobata. Given the extent of the evidence, we must conclude a causal relation between the use of anabolics and the condition... I love that logic, brings us back to the story of Lyle Alzado's brain tumor.. good times...

I guess it's possible. Dumb, reckless, and stupid for sure. How many people have you known with super bad acne? The fact is he took no precautions and I bet ZERO research. Therein lies the problem.

I have seen this pictures around the forums for years now.....anybody with a logical eye and EVEN basic knowledge on anabolics--personal experience and personal limitations, KNOWs that this picture is not real.

Im willing to be the fake and bake tanner he is using has more to do with that acne then the roids. He probably just got waxed and threw on some expired 3 dollar self tanner right after. I had my chest waxed once, it wasnt nearly that bad, but it was pretty ****in bad.

Some of you guys are unbelievable ...

That was published in The Lancet, one of the most prestigious medical journals in the world so no...it's not photoshopped and it is real.

Some of you need to shake your head and realize that steroids aren't childs play and they do have side effects.

If it is real, it would be interesting to see which steroids he was using, and at what quantities.

There are a few things in the photos that I found interesting:
1. The muscle loss in 2 months seems to be massive, can someone really loose that much muscle in such a short period of time??? Has anyone reading this ever experience that much muscle loss in even 6 months after a cycle?

2. The scars seem to be consistent in patterns and placements to the scabs. So if it is fake, someone put a lot of time into lining things up.

3. Could he have some other condition that triggered such a bad reaction. I have never seen one other picture even remotely close to what this guy has, which makes it seem like that this would happen to less than 0.0000001% of users, if it is real.

Just some thoughts.

I can't acess the full article but according to the figure caption it doesn't say anything about 2 months.

A corresponds to his physique at the ideal time, B is the breakout and C is 6 weeks after antibiotic treatment.

That picture screams underlaying condition. I'm sorry, but if acne whatever the cause gets to THAT point, its certainly far from normal or the standard reaction. That makes that case study a piss poor example of NORMAL acne caused steroids. Whoever is using that as an example is a mental midget.
