Example...

last night I was training bi's so my second exercise in I am doing seated DB preachers. Joints and muscles were feeling pretty sore all day and even after my first exercise I hadn't really loosened up much so I decided to go a bit lighter than I usually do.

So I grabbed the 40's and began my sets of 4. on the 3rd set I am really starting to feel weak and drained on 40's?????. I'm thinking to myself.. **** me this should NOT feel this heavy! I finish the set and as I'm putting it down I look at the DB.

I grabbed the wrong DB! I grabbed the 55's lol.

No wonder I felt friggin drained! haha

Another time a few years ago I was doing squats and working my way up to my working sets. I get to 3 plates and start out only I am feeling very unbalanced. Thought my foot positioning was off or something so I rack it and adjust then unrack and start again. Still feeling unbalanced. Turns out I had 3 plates on one side and 4 plates on another. LOL

I nearly shit when I realized how bad that could have turned out! lol

anyone else do stupid things like this??

Yeah a lot of people don't re-rack the dbs in sets, I've used a 55 and a 50 by accident a few times. I however have mis loaded a BB, added a 25 to one side then someone started talking to me and when I got around to loading the other side I accidentally grabbed a 35 and threw it on the other side lol... the worst part is that you never notice until you finish the set.

I did this twice during my leg workout. Once on squats, and once on stiff-leg deads. Had a side difference of 25 & 10 lbs.

Luckily I immediately noticed the balance was off as soon as I unracked.

at premier we have the shittiest rubber dumbbells ever and the weight labels on the ends ****ing fall off. at least half of the weights are unlabeled and its a guessing game what ****ing weight you are using. ****ing nightmare. i cant wait to go to western next year. $30M gym they just built, I had a chance to work out in it last week. they have like 8 squat racks!! i almost gizzed my pants. I will never have to wait to do legs :):):)

Haha I remember awhile back I grabbed a couple of dumbells I looked at the weight for the one I picked up with my right hand but not my left and started doing dumbell curls, after about 6 reps my left arm starts to fail and it was always weaker than my right but Im like wtf! I just did ten last week! **** is my left ever weak today! so then I started to use insane mind muscle connection and squeezed out 9 for my left, put the weights down after and realized how stupid I was because my left arm was lifting ten pounds more than my right, but also how strong I could be if I wanted to.

Once for dumbell chest presses. Home gym solves these problems.

I've never picked up the wrong weights as I go to a new Premier, so dumbells are nice and new but are rubber.. Does anyone notice a mild difference between rubber weighted dumbells and metal plated ones? And as for the setup of this gym, it's retarded. 50 thousand square feet yet they only have 1 actual squat rack. I always have to punk people off it because there doing like barbell curls or deadlifts there when I want to squat, soo annoying..

There should be an official gym policy and a sign right over the squat rack saying "Squatters have priority over all other uses of this rack". You don't need to tie up a squat rack with your 3 barbells for drop set arm curls, while you spend most of your time yacking with your gym buddies.
