whats you guys opinions on dairy? Ive heard that too much is a bad thing. Im curious on your thoughts because I eat tons of cottage cheese and drink tons of milk. Also why is it that people say drink rice and soy milk instead of bovine?

I've been drinking at least 4L of 2% everyday for the past 3-4 years and have yet to have any problems, unless you consider getting bigger and stronger to be a problem.

It really depends on your ethnic background from what I've heard, if your family is mostly European you can likely have as much dairy as you want.

If you can get it raw from the dairy it is excellent, but that homogenized and pasterurized shit they call milk is something that is a faint cry of the real stuff.

Soy is for dorks. Rice is for Chinese.

Personally I prefer coconut cream for bulking. Half a can is about 360 calories of healthy fats and goes well in a protein shake.

thats awesome, thanks guys!

I dont know why the source I read would publish something saying "drink rice milk and stay away from bovine". Also I was under the impression that too much dairy can lead to kidney stones.

Cocunut cream sounds great, Im definatly going to give that a try. Soy milk tastes like shit. period.

As far as the ethnicity goes, it would make sense that anyone comming from a family tree of cow milk drinkers would be able to drink it as much as they want, and thats good news for my bitch ass.

yeah drink that shit right from the udder, show those pathogens whose boss!

rice is for chinese ---- hard to argue with sound statements like that!

dairy/milk is great on a diet except in the case of an allergy or severe intolerance. i have yet to see any evidence to the contrary that isn't people missing the forest for the trees.

Milk is very high in CLA which studies have shown to actually burn fat. The purer it is, the higher the CLA. I'd die without my dairy. If they saying "you are what you eat" would ever be true, i'm sure i'd turn into cottage cheese by now.

There are so many strong guys that swear by drinking a few gallons of whole milk a day to get strong and enhance recovery...

Good for strength... not so good for cutting like other have said

Whole milk is what you want to be drinking.

I've recently had to cut dairy and flour and starches out of my diet. I been sticking with Ezekiel breakds and cereals and steel cut oats. I was getting bad indegestion and a host of other problems and thru troubleshooting I am now fine. It was a rough 4-5 weeks and messed up the start of a wicked cycle going into week 3. I have bounced back up in weight now finally and doin better just a bit gassy and mild bloating near the end of the day but thats expected.

I guess my grandpa and dad are the only farmers and ranchers who never got sick from their cattle's raw milk.

Only sick cows have bacteria, and as long as farmers don't have them stuffed inside barns and pumped full of bovine GH then raw milk should fine.

Sorry but if you're drinking sizable amounts of milk, it should only be skim milk. The sat fat would add up quickly in anything else.

Agreed. It should also be noted that excess calcium can cause deposits on bone bruises, breaks/fractures and spurs.

Too much of anything is bad, but not enough can also be an issue. It's all relative. One shouldn't base a diet on one or two sources whether it be dairy and pork or chicken and vegetables, a varied diet is a good diet generally speaking.

A 'puffy look' or bloat can sometimes be attributed to significant dairy based caloric ingestion as most of us (humans) in our adult years are lactose intolerant to some extent.

Unfortunately you are describing most dairy farms.

It is a sad state of affairs, especially the whole quota system.

I dont mean to hijack, but I remember reading something about the dairy business, I guess all these farmers wanted to cash in on dairy and what not so they built up all these farms and bred all the cows and guess what? there was never a demand for it! the whole time! So what did they start doing? they started feeding them hormones to increase milk production produced some really ugly looking udders and sickly cows an all for what reason? so that the milk could sit on the shelves at the supermarkets! nobody is buying all this fackin milk, thats why you get all these stupid drink milk commercials and does your body good and all that other crap, the truth is one glass of milk a day gives you more calcium then you would ever need. And you dont even need milk to get calcium, you can eat a variety of food to get enough calcium in your diet. Dont get me wron I love milk but its a joke that people push it so much like it is necessary or something. Spinach coincidently is a better source of calcium then milk!

1 glass of milk does not supply a days worth of calcium!! Plus, you would have to eat massive amounts of spinach to get the calcium in 1 glass of milk so it is not a better source and if I recall correctly it is bound and hence absorption is very poor.

Cows have E. coli in their system at it is harmelles to them. can be passed to humans, the person to be asymptomatic and spread E.Coli for along time without ever felling sick.

A normal cow will produce milk for 6 months only, therefore MONSANTO had the idea of developing a hormone that is shot in the animal and they produce milk for 6 months.

It happens that it produces inflammation to the cows tits (I have no idea how that is called in English,,, they don't teach this stuff in ESL) that inflammation creates PUS that is sucked out of the animal with the milk, the process is not what you could call hygienic therefore you get some call shit mixed with you MILK/PUS mix.

That is the reason behind the need of Pasteurization.

Now if you wanna drink you milk don't forget that the pasteurization process destroys a lot of other stuff (ie:enzymes) not just pathogens and makes the absorption of Calcium less efficient. Them you get milk/pus/shit and some more dead matter in your sterilized milk.

That milk goes through a process called extrusion (if i am not wrong) that is pretty much press it trough very tiny holes with a lot or pressure in order to not having the fat and milk separating anymore (remember when you where a child and milk would have a layer of fat on it and all of a sudden it is gone?).

That further denaturation is the source of an interesting process: as soon as that milk gets in to you system it is rancid!

More Yogurt, cheese and any other form of dairy is pretty much just concentrated milk therefore you get more PUS/Feces and dead matter.
I use green veggies as my source of calcium and am doing very well.

I don't have Soy or rice milk, because they are not mammals. I higly reccomend almond beverage.

I believe that we should stay away from regular milk and that if you wanna have it go for the organic type.

Goat's milk is structurally more similar to human milk if you can get it have it!

According to the CPTN: it takes about 9 months for you to have most of the structures of your body rebuilt (bone, organs, muscle etc) and about 1 year to have 98% of your atoms replaced therefore you really are what you eat.

That said: I have one scoop of cottage cheese a day, one glass a week and eat cheeses, cream whatever crap is in my food.

If I could I would just buy organic raw milk and boil it.
I guess that people should be allowed to do WTF they want but should be informed about their decision.

If you wanna know more about nutrition please pm me and I can send you link with useful information.

As long as you're not lactose intolerant then by all means drink up.

It affects people differently.

Personally i use cottage cheese for pre contest diet prep till 1 week out and I still get ripped every time. Others would tell me don't do it but you have to listen to your body.

This is true, I dont know about the "bound" thing but there is something apparently that decreases the uptake of calcium in spinach,
I stand corrected.
