Great stuff to do in a midst of a recession that should last till then. Actually there should be some serious inflation going on maybe about then. Don't you just love the Quebec government??

This is hilarious! Raise taxes to balance the budget? Why not cut spending instead Charest? This province has so much potential but is going to the shitter because of all the socialists in charge who think that 50% income taxes are incentives to work and invest.
They also think they can bring in an extra billion or so from clamping down on "tax evasion". Funny they think that they can clamp down on the cash only economy in this province that is so prevalent and entrenched because of the taxes.

With all due respect to Mr Bowlcut: "the province has a lot of potential" hey sure even the kids that take the yellow bus have potential for something.
The province is filled with seperatists, people with one way streets.
Everything in the food chain takes its place and has its own work demanded....I can't even show up at a local pub, or go to Canadian tire over the bridge because those ****ers give me this look, as though I am stealing something from them.
Ontario Plates in Quebec....hummmmmwe take that very mentality to Parliament and we see it daily...why be that way!
I know Quebec all too well to think that it will be an item of potential to Canadians.
I am optimistic that in time things will pan out for the better, but in the mean time, it just seems as though the people running it, AND its population---have their heads up their asses.
Quebec's typical rules and regulations are so wrongfully....
Anyhow I love people, all people are good people :)
...but Quebec continues to make their own bed---such a beautiful province to say the least, it is gorgeous! My sweety is from Quebec, of course I love it there ;)

Ottawa and hull are something else. Please don't judge us solely on that. Go to other places, people are nicer (sorry for you gatineau guys :p)

Makes you wonder what would happen if they didn't have the 8 Billion in equalization payments Ontario & Alberta shovel into that ungrateful province. Maybe they should have left, it would be a basketcase by now begging to be let back in.

Are you aware of how many natural resources this province has? This place would be greater if companies actually could make a serious profit developing the nickel, aluminum, and gold mines in the north.
If the environmentalists weren't so influential they would be drilling for natural gas in the St. Lawrence too.
But the most precious commodity this province has is fresh water and that is worth more than a barrel of oil.
Think about how much you pay for a litre of gasoline compared to a litre of bottled water in the store and you realize the fresh water even now is under priced.
The bull market of commodities will be around for the next decade or two, but it is a shame that the socialists have ruined any incentive to work.

That is correct!! Anything over the bridge not to be mistaken by no means.
Ottawa is Ottawa.
I love the Quebec gynos, I think they are cool--with their trucks, open shirts (in minus 50 temps) and showing off their jewlery :D a true Quebec gyno :bday but the people running their Province...another story.
What was that guys name I forget him now...he had currency ready to hit the streets of Quebec once HIS so-called idealism took place....his name his name???
We can pin point little things or some of the bigger items, the fact is that the province has a lot of work to do.
Gasoline taxes are incredibly high---the gas over the bridge is normally 10 to 15 cents higher.
I have to admit, that their standard of living is very good in many senses, or at least in the middle upper range. Their idea to bring real state purchasers from Ontario has been successful over the years.
A house over the bridge, SIMILAR to one in Kanata or Orleans, around half an acre is A LOT CHEAPER, including swimming pull and plenty of room. Ottawa housing prices that although NOT as turbulent now as in past years still remain VERY high.
And as a final note: The Pink Panther---hummmm I hear those Quebecers have state of the art "wash the girl by hand" facilities now:lick damn hookers:beer
Anyhow---merci tres bien

I don't want to offend my buddy Ritch or MP but Quebec men are plain weird. Lots of guidos, but even French guys just dress in a manner no self respecting white man ever would. Their choice but they look like women.

In this instance the PQ is calling for Ottawa to steal from the rest of Canada.
