Ya that was one f**ked up day. i was working at a fishing lodge then and at that time we had a top US Colonel staying at our lodge with his family. Me and the waitress were having coffee and watching CNN, i actually seen the second plane hit real-time. Next thing you know the phone is ringing and i am out on the lake trying to locate the Colonel, who is out fishing with his family. I tell you that was one of the most uncomfortable things I have ever had to tell someone... I was so freaking nervous and initially he just looked at me with disbelief.

Yup, remember it clearly. It was morning, the wife and i were still in bed and feeling frisky. We had the radio on and were playing around but there was no music, just this endless news that was starting to get distracting. Than i heard something about the Pentigon and explosion's, and i'm like wtf? So i reached over and turned the volume up. Well needless to say we were no longer feeling frisky..

Ya I was working a night shift that day and was lying around on the couch before work and then the news story came on that a plane hit the first tower and it was on fire. As I was watching it live the second plane came and hit the other one. Lets just say I did not want to go to work that day! true it does not feel like it was very long ago!

I woke up that morning to the sounds of blasting. They were blowing the rock to dig out the ground for the foundations of the new condos that were being built. Then the phone rang, it was an old Army buddy who was calling to tell me that one of the Towers had been hit. I turned on the TV to CNN just moments before the second Tower was hit.
That day set into motion a series of events that will affect all generations to come.

RIP to those that perished and God Bless our Troops who have taken up the fight to rid the world of Terror.
