how can u possibly carb deplete anymore when u are on a zero carb diet???? i dont follow your question.
carbing up will depend on how long u carbed down for. for some on zero carb diets, for extended period of time, it will take a few days maybe more. its tricky. most do a trial run 3 weeks out, if they are in shape already, to see how they will react.

what I mean is how long does it take to reach ketosis typically if you are on a zero carb diet, I understand this is kind of a rhetorical question.

Keto sticks are the only way to tell. If you're totally carb loaded up "AKA offseason" it might take a week or more. if you're doing a one meal or one day weekly load after being already in a ketogenic state it might take only 1 day. Careful though cause a lot of people including me can't take the switchover from carbs to protein/fats as energy. Totally kills me, headaches, blurry eye site, brain doesn't function, i shouldn't even be driving a car at that point i feel drunk almost. I personally keep my carbs near 120grams a day when I diet and I feel good, Never getting into Ketosis, and the fat peels off fast combined with the right supps.
Good luck

entirely individual and depends on too many factors such as workout type and duration, trace carbs etc. Most report day 4 as the hard day and beyond that fresh energy, that is probably as much of an indicator as anything.

I cannot find logical for the initial question, but simply think that it is for personal interest.
How long does test prop take to clean your system?
---so you can start PCT
When is a person completely carb depleted? I have read consistent data that says that it takes a week at the most.
Guys like Lee Priest never load up or deplete prior to a show (well at least not to zero anyhow)--it is too risky, in case yo umiss your peak point hours before your show.
Nate please elaborate :)

The correct answer is 72 hours to reach ketosis once you drop the carbs.
Ketostix are NOT accurate at all!!!! They will work fine in a sedentary individual but not in an athlete. Think about it...you are ketosis because your energy source is fats...ie ketones. Thus because you are active, ie training, cardio , etc the ketones are being used up and thus very little can actually show up when you measure with ketostix thus the reading is very inaccurate. It also takes 2 full weeks for the body to completely adapt to ketosis without wanting to revert back to glucose as a fuel source.
Carbing up in the average 200lb BB usually takes 48 hours and obviously there is no need to carb deplete. What you need to know is you cannot just add in carbs you must add in fats to fully load.

Thanks for all your replys, mostly I was just asking out of curiosity. I have been interested in carb cycling.
