Is there issues with consuming 5-6 whole eggs everyday vs egg whites? Dave Palumbo wrote something regarding this stating blood cholesterol and dietary cholesterol levels are not directly related (can't remember exactly)?? As well he talks about cholesterol being key for muscle growth. What do you guys / girls think?
Also what the hell is the difference between sweet potatoes and yams?

Apparently not. All`s I know is if I eat more than 3 yolks per meal, I feel sick.

I used to eat just whites, but the last few years i eat nothing but whole eggs... i think for me i get better results eating whole eggs, i seem to retain more thickness while dieting and i find whole eggs unbeatable bulking

Very true...they are not directly related. As well if you choose Omega 3 eggs then the amount of saturated fat is reduced and replaced with Omega 3 fats.
Cholesterol is the precursor to all steroid hormones including:
* Glucocorticoids (blood sugar regulation)
* Mineralcorticoids (mineral balance and blood pressure regulation)
* Sex Hormones (many functions)
This is the reason why you should not eliminate all saturated fats from your diet.
While dieting i consume 8-10 whole eggs per day and my cholesterol has always been perfect.
Sweet potatoes are what you get at the grocery store in North America. Yams are common to Latin america and the Caribbean...they are not even distantly related to sweet potatoes. Yams contain more natural sugar and have ahigher moisture content.

Dietary cholesterol can only affect your blood cholesterol by 5-10%. If you eat a lot your body wont produce much endogenously, but if you don't eat much (like vegetarians) your body will produce it. In the US, the dietary recommendation is to reduce consumption from 450+mg/day (average consumption) to <300mg/day which only decreases blood cholesterol by like 2-3%. Some other dietary things can help modulate blood cholesterol like,
- high dietary saturated and trans fats can increase it
- monounsaturates and polyunsaturates can decrease it

The c-reactive protein score seems to be a much better indicator of potential heart disease instead of cholesterol anyway. The egg yolk has it's own properties and as long as calories and macros are accounted for they are a fine addition to any diet.

Whole eggs are the way to go as long as you don't eat eggs more than 4 days of the week you are fine.
Otherwise you can develop an intolerance and that is not fun.

Depends on what you want to accomplish...when I'm dieting for a show as I am now, every calorie counts...so the extra fat from the yolks need to go bye bye and I stick with only whites. However offseason, whole eggs are no problem at all as my calories are very high.
