I am thinking about getting a truck and these are the 3 I am looking at. Anyone own one? If so would you buy the same truck again?

Thanks.

yota will last longer in most cases, but cost more if your comparing apples to apples....depends wat u use it for too i guess.....I've had 2 yotas, 1993 and now 2004, both we're and are awesome no probs. 1993 had 340,000kms and ran like a top. Never had luck with fords, just my .02

I have a cousin that was looking at the Tocoma, but the for the same price as the tocoma you can get a fullsize f-150 pretty much double the size of the tocoma bigger engine etc.. so he bought a 2009 f-150. and he loves it.

I have a good friend that bought a brand new tocoma in 2006, and this guy is rough on his stuff, that truck took a beating and he still has no prblems with it. but he finds it to small. he would rather have the tundra.

so your probably better off with the f-150 or tundra, but i think theres a big price diffrence.

You have a good point. Also once you start looking at the tacoma double cab then your almost at the same price as a double cab tundra. So probably the best choice is a f150 or tundra. It is a big decision when I am spending this much money as the plan would be to keep it for 10+ years. I have been driving the same car for 12 years now, but it is time for something new.

I've had 3 F-150's (2003, 2004, 2007) and they've been rock solid. To be honest, every new 1/2 ton truck out there is a good buy..... just depends on what you like and how much you want to spend.

You can find good deals on trucks that are a couple years old.

Well, I ended up buying a 2009 Tundra 4x4 double cab offroad package. I ended up with a great deal from toyota, 1.9% financing, 1000.00 off from Toyota Canada march incentive, an additional 2000.00 off from the dealership, and I talked them into spraying the truck box, and putting in a back up camera monitor. Now I just hope that gas stays under 1.00/litre :P

Oh... and reason why I rule out the Ford F150, which is a real fine truck as well, was because of the financing. They currently don't care who you are, how much money you make, how much you put down, or how good your credit rating is... all financing and lease rates for any number of months is currently at 7.99% on all 2009, and 2010's. No negotiating the financing.

Dodge is at the same rate right now. I find this surprising as they are in trouble... so they raise the interest. Toyota is Calgary was busy all week as I made several trips to several locations to make my deal on the Tundra. When I went to dodge and ford, the sales men almost ran to me as I was one of the only few people walking around the lot. Toyota, was so busy because of their 0%, 0.9%, and 1.9% rates, it was hard to find a sales person. Too bad for Dodge and Ford as I may have considered it.
