I am starting some letro today for gyno symptoms. I got 1.25mg caps but I want to start at .25mg and go up from there gradually. help?

start with 1 cap a day for 4-5 days then 2 caps a day for approximately 2weeks (until gyno is gone). When it's fixed, drop to 1 cap a day for a week. If you have an AI like adex or aromasin, run it during your cycle. If you don't have an AI, i'd suggest nolva for 2 weeks (right after letro).

It worked REALLY good for me :)

Run aromasin or adex after you taper down off of letro. Since letro is so powerful there is sometimes an estrogen kickback so if you switch to a lesser AI AFTER you drop letro, you lessen this chance of an estro flare.

Oh man... last time I ran letro I was an achey moody guy... all that letro would kill me. Thanks god I'm not gyno prone

Just a few corrections:
Letro is an AI...a third generation aromatase inhibitor. The half life is approx 2-4 days. I would suggest starting with a lower dosage amd monitoring the resuts ie .25-.5mg ED. Because of the half life it will take some time to get blood levels up. A higher dosage can drive HDL levels down as well as killl your sex drive. Generally once you develop gyno an AI or anti e such as tamox can control it but will not eliminate it. I would avoid arimidex because of the effects on HDL. Aromasin is agood choice along with letro (Femara). In some individuals tamoxifen is the only thing that seems to help...you may have to experiment a bit. It is also a good idea to taper off near the end to avoid any rebound issues.

Not Adex bud.. Aromasin at 12.5mg. I really wish UGL's made Letro in liquid or made their caps .5mg. Ideally, you would want to taper up and down by .5mg increments.

so should i break a cap in half on day 6 and have 1 and 1/2? and then 1 3/4 on day 7 and then 2 caps till symptoms subside?
