I dont have facebook anymore because I realized what a huge invasion of privacy it is. This just solidifies my beliefs.

Facebook will lose a lot of members because of this.

It should, because where does it end?
10 years from now can they dig up old deleted facebook profiles? What about pictures you thought were deleted? Messages you thought were private? etc. The paper trail that facebook leaves isnt to be taken lightly. I swear some people arent thinking when they post personal information of facebook.

don't reveal too much info on your profile, and you'll be fine.

We now have a rule at works that states that any photos taken at company events are the possession of the company and can not be used without authorization of the company. It is part of the employee handbook.

We had a couple incidents that employees were posting up pics of managers in similar situation to Mr. Phelps.

Dumb of the managers. Dumb of the employees.

I never bothered with facebook. Too private of a person.

That`s something those retards just don`t understand. Here there was a guy who was saying if he got something like 5000 people to sign on his page he would blow up a police car. Then x amount of sigs to blow up a police station. When the cops busted him, he said he was just joking. Well guess what idiot? No one`s laughing. Haven`t heard what happened to the kid as a result.

the right to protect oneself against self incrimination goes out the door when you make a public statement. That being said, the evidence as used in court cannot be made public if the person is not found guilty. This is what my cousin the lawyer said to me once.

I agree with that.

that might be true, but the problem lies in the fact that they can use what you have posted on facebook against you. Its a privacy issue. Facebook is fast becoming the police's favorite tool in incriminating people. Cant say that I blame them, Its almost too easy.

I totally agree with you shey.....Just jokes what people are willing to project on facebook about who they are...I think facebook is breeding a whole new kind of person for this century. The kind that is really desensitized and no feeling to everything around them because it's all so accessible......and the tip of their fingertips....with a good internet connection of course lol

facebook is considered a "public" forum, so if you just want to keep in touch with friends.
