**** I'm pissed... I've been waiting for over 2 months for these ****ers to process my EI application...

Checked tonight and it's finally cleared... how much are they depositing for the first entitlement week?

$25.

WHAT THE ****?!?!

Plus they still haven't fixed the damn reporting site and I haven't been able to submit any reports since Jan. 3rd.

It's supposed to be 55% of insured earnings, right? So how they hell did they come up with $25??? It says 'Benefit Rate' is $129 (still, where the **** did they come up with this number??) yet they're depositing $25.

I didn't have a great job, and only netted $1800/month... but I sure as hell should be entitled to more than that.

****ers.

Ya i should be getting some coin soon, just phone it in every 2 weeks very easy.I wonder since the Senate pass the bill to extend EI by 5 more week we will be getting it.Sad how the goverment will give massive amounts of coin to the GM,but not so much to the people. If i get and extra 5 weeks of money i'm looking at only a bit over 1300.00 dollars wow going to Disney land.

You have to go live in the east coast bro. It should be EEI East Employment Insurance, Ontario and Alberta pay for the free ride others get. All it takes in 17weeks of fishin for the rest of the year paid for with EI! And Danny Williams is bitching and whining about getting shafted by Ottawa for 1billion. Cocksucker should be on his knees showing his deference to the rest of Canada for EI + equalization overpayments and stopping everyone and his dog from leaving. But as with those who live of the means of gov't they are NEVER thankfull and never got enough $ or respect... grrrr

Well a phone call sorted out some of the mess... at least, I know it's a **** up and not intentional... for some stupid reason, it's showing I made significantly less in the last 26 weeks of employment than I actually made, why the $129/week.

And the $25 is because I got the last week of work wrong on the application.

What a mess.......

I checked my ROE and all the numbers are correct so it's actually their ****up. Now I have to try to get them to fix it next week. Pain in the ass.

Oh well, at least I've got $25!!!!!!! (sarcasm)

funny how we as citizens of canada have to jump thru hoops to get money entitled to us, but the first disaster and the goverment suddently has millions on hand to give away.
but it cant help its own citizens in a timely manner.

it's pathetic. they act more like a low rate car insurance company than a provincial government. they treat us like they're doing us a huge favour by paying out EI, but last time i checked we pay into it.. it's INSURANCE. it's not money for nothing for f's sake.. it's not welfare.

I only ever went through the system when I was 19 I think. I had been working at the same place for my high school life, then had quit to start University...I will never forget that it took the ****ers 2 months to send me money, MY MONEY!!! I ended up hitting my old employment part time again....it was ridiculous to say the least.

And over the years I have heard the nightmares....you have more chances at getting a hooker trany at 2PM Monday in Vanier, than to be able to get any money on a timely manner from the Gov, and the right amount.

Get back into the workforce----good luck with your case..I know it can be frustrating. :(

I feel bad for you guys......I had to go on ei back when i was in school doing my trades tickets every yr....and every yr it was the same shit, save up for 9 months to go to school for 3 months, by the time i was done school i recvd my first check when i was back at work, rediculous....it was a very depressing time of my life, literally ate those noodle soups and rice and once in awhile meat that was very cheap and on sale and raided my parents freezer for wild meat and suffered....couldnt afford didley squat....
it was a character bldg experience i havent forgotten, i am still always preparing for bad times as i had them for so long, for the longest time i would never let my bills surpass what my pogey checks would equal for the month...
Good luck guys, i feel your pain.....

well it's FINALLY fixed. two complaints apparently weren't good enough (they supposedly sent in a recalculate request each time)... third one finally seemed to make the difference... she went as far to add a note requesting a supervisor make sure this was done.

i'm finally getting the backpay deposited in my account and i'll be receiving the proper benefit rate.

unbelieveable BS. i'm glad it's done and over with... shit was really gettin on my nerves.

good luck to you guys, hope it works out! keep at it and don't stop bugging them... seems they like to drag their feet and will never do anything if you don't keep insisting.
