So it was a pretty busy Saturday night at the club, and Im working hard as per usual barbacking and bartending. All of the sudden the owner comes up to me and says "get on the floor and clean up, there is shit everywhere". I proceed to ask him "what do you think im already doing?". I didnt use a nice tone of voice as he didnt deserve a nice tone of voice. This guy is one arrogant 450lb (literally) SOB. We had words at the bar in front of a couple guests and he told me to go home. At this point I told him what I thought of him and dropped some F bombs along the way. Moral of the story is, my weekends are now free. B2J, when are we gonna meet up for a beer dude?

No, it was a long time coming. I work hard there, and constantly get told how unimportant and replaceable I am so I decided to let him replace me. I wanted to go out in a blaze of glory and I think I did a nice job of that. He is a 450lb FAT SACK OF SHIT btw. Married to a skinny blonde at least 10 years younger than him. Shes a leather faced, white trash, gold digger though, so Im sure thats where some of his bitterness comes from.

You should have done a flying front tackle and taken out his right knee. Then yell down at him while he's clutching his torn ACL, "How you like me now fat ass? Get on the floor and clean that shit!!!" Then walk away smiling..lol

He shouldn`t be telling you to clean shit up outside the bar. Where are the bus boys? But talking to a boss like that will definetly get you fired. And in a job like that anybody is replaceable in the snap of a finger. That`s why they can treat their employes like shit. Nothing new, but yeah is sucks.

Yeah, especially if he's just managing the place for "uncle Tony"... There must be some weight and douchebag requirement for these guys. The guy I worked for in the past was about the same.

Actually good help is hard to find, so hard workers arent so replaceable and the fat sack of shit knows it better than anyone else,

I say high five to you Jersey 8# for not taking that shit anymore! dont let people push you in jobs that are very "replaceable".

Fattie will be crying next weekend when his new hires cant meet the mustard, I guarantee he will have a long string of shitty workers to replace you, as is the trend in that type of work.

No offense but you are absolutely wrong with that one. I work in the bar scene and know for a fact what I`m saying is correct. At least in this area. In a small town that could be correct but not here in Montreal dude. It`s a revolving door industry. Sure waiters have their clients who follow them from bar to bar but the next guy who replaces him will bring the same thing.

If that`s not Jersey`s only job as I think it is, sure he can just say **** you and leave. But did you ever think about the fact you may want to work in the industry again? May be a smaller world than you think. And burning bridges like that may not be the smartest thing. Hopefully it works out for Jersey.

Im moving to london in sep for school, so i dont really give two shits about this clown or any other bar gig in toronto. i still work at the supplement store, and i have a promo / marketing / modelling job that pays me $20 an hour minimum. there's always a back up plan.

Well Im certainly not gonna tell anybody that they are wrong or that I know for a fact. But.......

Chances are if you work in a job where you are "replaceable" than the job is just as replaceable, if anyone can prove me wrong on this point feel free to.

When you jump ship you can easily go to the next job, as there certainly isnt any shortage of work in those areas mostly due to some of the things you brought up.

But there can be no argument that good help is hard to find, and a truly successful manager will work hard at keeping them also. I dont care what type of job it is either. Unfortunately, there is alot of endowed babies that like to be "big bosses" and I would bet that these businesses arent as successful as they could be.

**** YOU FATTIE CAKES!!! FATTIE....... FAT... FAT!! Ha ha
thats what I would have said

As a former owner of a pub and restaurant i can say without a doubt that "good" help is hard to find, and when you do, you treat them like gold. Employees can make or break you.. But unlike what ritch described our establishment was in a small community.

Think about what? Most are ****ing clown wannabes.

Only a few clubs were owned by "heavies" like Caruana and his son Vince and there is NO WAY in hell those guys treated staff like shit. They were gentleman through and through.

These loud mouths fat ****s watch too much Sopranos and think because they sold a few kilos of coke they are "heavy". Slap his fat face and watch him cry like a botch while he tells you " You know who I am?".

Damn Hockey M<snter---sorry to hear about your story.

I will say this: NEVER is there a good time or perfect time for violence guys!! NEVER!!
but on that same token, do not mistake kindness for weakness----yeah stand your ground, but do it admirably :D--if you know aa'ming? yo!!

For the most part knowing the industry well, I DO know that hard and good help is VERY difficult to come by.
We have bad days and some good days, giving the bad days to be far few in between, some slack can be cut...but when there is consistency, then the shit is bound to hit the ground at one point or another....but this fat piece of stinky low life mother ****er sounds like a trophy hu :D sorry for the bad words guys ;)
How typical, the fat slob hitting it with a skinny money digger blond....hummmm right out of a book hu? hahahahah

Hit my PM sometime this week ma man!!
