Here`s a crazy one. Not because it implies one using mega doses acutally the opposite. This one guy who had no shape whatesoever was claiming the epic results he was getting from his test pills. He would take his shirt off in front of me to display a really pathetic build. "Look how pumped and full I look" he`d say squeezing his pecks together. Yeah, that`s great buddy...
This other guy was using 50-100mg of deca every 3 weeks to prevent muslce loss. Muscle was one thing he didn`t have to worry about because he didn`t have any.
I have a friend who injects another guy because he is afraid of needles. The first time he injected him he rammed the syringe point against the floor to make it as dull as possible - ouch!
Oh, and he also jabbed another guy without warning through his jeans!

one day was at the gym... an old Y back home. Hardcore guys there... dungeon like eh?
Anyway.. dude was heavy leg presses while wearing a pair of cut off track pants. Anyway... he shit himself while contraction portion of a rep. Literally it was running down his leg. So gross.
Anyway, he ran into the changeroom, threw on a pair of track pants he had extra and finished his sets and workout. lol
classic!

ha ha! he actually had the ballz to show his face like nothing happened and continue his workout?? in his mind he prob was thinking, "i must finish..it's what Arnold would've done!"
i got a similar story goin' back about 5-6 yrs at my old gym. one guy always trying to look badass with his backwards baseball cap, bad case of ILS and of course his mandatory perma-scowl always ready to stare down anybody who dared make eye contact with him.
anyhow this queef would spend about 10 mins loading up the leg press m/c with about 8-10 plates a side, then as he slid down into the m/c he would pause, close his eyes and go into his yogi-like meditative state before repping out about 4-6 monstrous quarter inch reps before getting up and looking around the gym floor at his subjects and basking in his awesomeness!
I had a buddy use same syringe and only changed the needle 2x for an entire cycle. Amazingly no infections or anything.

He travelled a bit with Vic Richards doing guest-posing, etc and would routinely do his jabs for him. My bud said trying to pin Vic's glutes was like trying to jam a needle through concrete there was so much scar tissue.
Vic Richards was a huge ****ing dude for his height. I seen him at a seminar in Seattle a long time ago and man he was a beast.
10,000mg/week...I'd love to try that, but I don't think I will.

This one time a long time ago, a guy I knew ate right and trained hard consistently for years and never worried about taking drugs because he was bigger, stronger, and leaner than all the drug users around him.
...crazy, huh?

You don't HAVE to bench 400lbs when you are on drugs and you don't HAVE to squat and DL 500+, by why take drugs and NOT excel?

yay to aladdinsane!
I used to inject 2cc of test in my nutsack.
There was this one time when I was training at the Y and I was doing leg presses with I think close to 20 plates. It was a heavy leg day and I forgot to clear out my system before working out. I did my leg presses and started leaking shit out of my ass. It was oozing out of my trackpants. Luckily I had another pair of pants in my locker and changed and finished my work out. I used the other pair of pants to wipe down the bench.

I think what SD is getting at is too many use drugs as a crutch for being lazy and looking for short cuts. Lots of guys on this forum fall into that category.
He's not saying drugs are wrong but if you can't get to X naturally to begin with what makes you think drugs are going to?
I am not suggesting someone should be benching over 400 to begin to think about using but there should be an established base well before someone does decide to dip into the dark side and in my opinion that base doesn't come after only a year, two or three of training and eating.

Exactly. I am actually all for drugs, and I am excited to use them, but so many people use them way too early and in place of proper training and dieting.

ok i understand what you mean,
On another note if I can make my chest grow by lifting 100lbs instead of 400 it makes no difference to me. I see alot of idiots in the gym load up 4 plates a side and risk serious injury because they cant properly handle 2 plates.

And that is your prerogative, but to me that is like getting a bodykit to make your fiero look like a ferrari.

I totally agree man, if you can't handle the weight, don't pretend to use it. I realise that this is a bodybuilding board, but I have never understood wanting to be big and not caring if you are strong as well.

Each to their own, just as some people desire more of an athletic build, and some want to be 300lbs.
Everyone's got their own thing bro.. I used to thrive off being strong, but now my shoulders are wrecked, back is in constant pain, and my knees like to make fun cracking noises periodically. So since then, I'd much rather train with moderate weights and get the same results, and actually be able to sleep at night because I'm not in a world of pain.
You can't bring you bench press to the beach.. Don't forget that
exactly what i was trying to convey.

I understand that everybody has different goals, but there are just so many goals out there that are so foreign to me that I just can't wrap my head around them. This is kind of sidetracked though as my main point (as unclear as I may have been) was that it boggles my mind when so many people use drugs before they have really accomplished anything without them.

couldn't have said it better. It's why I avoid some exercises (upright rows) and don't go heavy on others.
I'm in this for life and I'd like to be able to enjoy it through my 30s and 40s and not be in various aches and pains because I thought it was cool to lift more than I looked I could early on.

A guy benching 6 plates each side but bouncing the bar HARD off his chest. Every bounce would make me cringe. I would just imagine his sternum crack and pierce his heart and he'd die right there benching something I couldn't move. No spot btw.

Well i am lucky i can bench over 400...lol, but i had to take drugs to get there...I hear what sd and aladdin are saying, i however dont fully agree, we are talking apples and oranges really....Most powerlifters and STRONGman type guys i see ...i wouldnt want to look like that in a million yrs, not including marius etc...Hes a true freak, but i enjoy building and forming the muscles on my body, i hope to compete, but even if i dont, i like how i feel, and look with supplements...I enjoy better recovery so i can go to the gym more as that is my second love in life...I dont care if im the biggest, or strongest, i just enjoy change...
I however do agree that drugs are way overused and are a crutch to not wanting to go hard....But seriously, if you see a decent physique, i guarantee it isnt all drugs, take everything you want, if you dont work, you will never look good....
Everyone has different goals, we shouldnt judge each other for that...IMO..
Not bitter, or a cock, just saying we are a grande mix here and we all love improving...I want to be doing this in my 50s, so im trying my best to go slow and steady, not burnout on drugs, or overstressing me joints, or ripping off muscles etc...
All the guys that are listed as building a good physique with heavy weights have muscle tears in common that pretty much ended their careers...food for thought...
Remember the turtle and the hare story from aesops fables??

Wife told me stories of the gym @Vic park & Bermondsey where guys would throw needles into the drop ceiling and leave them there.
Holding the needle between the glute and the wall and pushing back due to scar tissue.
Guy blowing his knee out on the leg press and lying on the floor for over 5 mins until someone went over to ask him if he was ok. It wasn't me either who asked. I think someone told the staff who went over to the guy who got taken out in a stretcher by paramedics.
