I think he is only 3-4 lbs away and he has 6 weeks still. Advice?
The kid is happy one day...moody the next and dealing with shit in his life.
I had to walk away the other night...he looked so hot.

I'd have him stop cardio right now if he is doing any. See what effect that has on his weight. Maybe up the calories by a few hundred. He can drop 3-4lbs (plus any water) in the last 8 days of prep no problem so I'd just have him maintain.
Or, give him some a couple weeks of clean refeeds on the weekend (1 day only).

yah if hes 6 weeks out then id have to stop cardio and up the calories, maybe only 100 a day though to maintain. if he is stressing about things in his personal life then his cortisol levels may be outta wack too, creating a higher catabolic output then non stressful state. whats his sodium levels ike? are u watching them yet?

I'm advising more lean steak..to up the cals.
He is bored with bruchetta on stuff..i offered him a low carb ww wrap with chicken, cucumber, onions, romain and a tsp of feta at lunch.
he is complaining of not enough fiber. I gave him some oat bran a few weeks ago..he ran out. Wheat Bran is a great fiber that some use to keep them regular. i find it causes explosive problems.. Oat bran gets stuff moving. I'm going to the bulk foot store tomorrow for it for him.

Yep we need pics.

Keep the diet and cardio the same. I wouldnt change anything...you are far from peaking too early. I will tell you right now BF % numbers are worthless dont even bother with them. use the mirror it doesnt lie. The best place to look to see how close you are getting is the glute ham tie ins. Are you seeing striations in your glutes, are your hams completely separated...thats when you are getting very close. I woudl also suggest a good refeed MEAL once per week to keep leptin and thyroid levels up. Something like a big pasta and meatball dinner or pancakes with syrup and butter. You are in great shape and if you continue doing what you are doing youll be pealed...dont stop now!
Good Luck!

as for refeeds i should try that once a week but i havent been whatsoever besides the odd cheat meal. Once per week at most id throw in maybe a cup of regular pasta or like a bowl of soup or something. Whatever we have at home that is NORMAL food. lol... normal for the fat and bloated. lol. but ya ill try to refeed once that sounds tasty and effective! One more question am i completely screwed if i eat perfect all day to the T but at night im so dam desperate for food i eat say 11pm (1 cup rice, 1 6oz chicken, 1 cup oats with nat peanut butter, couple pieces of low fat cheese and say 10 crackers)
Ive done this and feel so bad but i literally cant help myself. SOoo hungry all day so at night just to sleep without constantly thinking of food i find i indulge in healthy foods in a lil higher quantity later on say i do this 2 times per week. HOW do i stop the cravings they are so bad i want to quit dieting and it stresses me out to the max (increasing cortisol). I finally stopped putting down cereal and milk before bed but now there is a void and i dont no what is safe before bed.

LOL
welcome to contest prep. There are times in my prep when I do not sleep because I cannot get my mind to think of anything other than food.
IF that hungry at night have some eggwhites loaded with hot sauce. Eventually though you will have to stop that as it inteferes with water and sodium manipulation.

This is why the refeed meal helps so much. It will help curb your cravings and you shouldnt feel guilty because it is part of the diet. Try not to cheat at all otherwise but schedule a good refeed meal once per week. And I mean eat...big stack of pancakes with syrup and butter, bacon, eggs , toast with jam, large glass of milk, whipping cream and strawberries. When you do this your thyroid will love you for it and you will feel very warm...sweating actually. It is also very nice to be able to look forwward to this meal. Just be sure to stop about 2 weeks out so you can properly prepare for carbing up and water loss etc.
