Hello!
So I'm pretty new to this! Iam not looking to bulk up, but tone up. I currently do 2-3 spin classes a week and 1-3 weight training classes a week depending on my school scheduale. What I really need help with is my diet! Im looking to lose extra inches on my stomach and get rid of the love handles. What I usually have:
Morning:
- 1 cup of astro vanilla yogurt
- banana
Lunch:
- 2 cups of romaine salad
- tomato
- olives
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
Snack
- apple
Dinner:
- salmon
- 1/2 cup of fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1 cup of green beans
Snack
- chopped celery
- 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
I have usually around 8 cups of water a day with some green tea whenever I remember :)
What do you think, yyour help is appreciated:)

wow, I only see protein in your dinner meal. Sure trace protein in other sources but the salmon is really the only meal with quality protein.
Decrease carbs, increase protein. Ditch the dairy and fruits. I would:

Thanks so much!
Should I be doing this until I lose the weight? Than start to substitute fruits and such because I know that high protein and low carbs can be dangerous after a while

once you get your body where you want it you will need to slowly introduce foods back into the mix. Low carb, high protein are not dangerous. Do not believe what the media tells you.

what would you suggest if she wasnt able to eat all this in one day?? I am new here and am looking to lose weight and tone up as well. But with my job its hard to eat more then four or if I am lucky five times a day.
3 of those meals are whey protein shakes. Easy enough to make in the morning and take with you. :)

Sadly, kinda just have to suck it up and deal with it how best you can. You can drop the last meal to make it 5 in total.
I'm sure with many people here they';ve been forced to stay up later than they wanted to ensure they got all their meals eaten. This is especially true for contest dieting I find.

Exactly.
So how many cals do you have her eatting?
Also if a person was to drop a meal then then would want to increase the amount of food eaten during the day so their cals stay the same.

If I was to stay up later, I wouldnt be going to bed till about midnight or later every night. Must say I rather sleep eight hours a night. My day goes a little something like this:
Wake up about 830am or 9am
Eat breakfast 9:30: 1/3cup oatmeal, or two whole eggs with toast andor couple pieces of turkey bacon. Just got some whey protein so now I add a scope to the oatmeal.
Go outside for half hour with my dog till about 1015am, head to the gym. Somedays I am there at 1030 others I am there at 11am. On the days I am there at 1030, I am gone by noon, heading to work, drive takes about 15mins. I usally have a yogart and some type of fruit, or fruit with some pb. I then work from 1pm to 430pm.
Then I will have lunch, this will be my main "Big" meal of the day. It could be a moose stir-fry, pasta or chicken and salad.
I then work from 5pm till 820pm, I am a labour so my job is very physical. I load semi trucks with boxes by hand. Then when I get home, around 9pm, I will have a couple eggs, small bowl of cereal, or pb and honey sandwich. I mean I eat ok, I mean I do have "cheat" days once in awhile but not that often.
I do see what your saying about the snack meals being protein shakes, but wouldnt someone gain weight from having to much protein???? Like I say, I am TOTALLY new to this all. Thanks for any and all help and answers lol
The meal plan suggested is a ketogenic diet, which is the most effective muscle sparing, fat burning diet available. In short, high quality protein does not make one fat, carbohydrates and "unhealthy" fats do. Just do a search at the top of the forum for "ketogenic" and you'll find much information.
