I breaking out with horrible acne on my back and chest. I want to go on accutane but I'm on a cycle right now and not sure if it will be to much stress on my liver. If I do go on it I will be getting it through my doc so I'll be getting bloodwork done every month to redflag any problems. I also take liv-52,milk thistle, and cycle support right no and will keep taking it.

What do you guys think? Take accutane now, or wait until the cycle is done?Or drop the tbol and take the accutane?

FYI cycle is:
week 1-8 profina .6ml ED
week 1-8 tbol 40 mg ED
adex,dostinex,hcg,pct blah blah blah

id wait til end of cycle. also....if you take liv-52 during cycle you reduce the effectiveness of your oral......just something to think about.

Accutane is too extreme, IMO. I know others who had some long term issues after it.
I would start with topical treatments first. If they don't work, use Accutane.

gicantor have you taken a course of Accutane before?

If you have you dont need to hit a whole new course, alot of good friends of mine run 10mg/eod when on cycle and through pct just to make sure they dont break out, you dont get many sides at all but it keeps you clear for the most part

Also I dont believe liver protectants lower effectiveness of orals this is brolore in my opinion

ya accutane is pretty harsh, my body ****ing hated that shit, you couldn't moisturize your face/lips enough. My lips started bleeding pretty often it was brutal. It can do some pretty horrible things to your lipid profile as well.

have you tried differin gel or retin-a?? i found retin-a to be very effective when i was younger..
but then again that may be a serious pain in the ass to apply on your back, etc

I have used every OTC creams and even some script stuff and nothing controls it. What kind of issues did your friends have?

I have not used accutane. I have used tetracycline and minocycline and they did nothing. The acne is not only from the steroids. I have struggled with acne since high school and just want to stop it completely.

I've tried a few prescription gels, not retina-a though, and all they did was peel my back. The acne stayed. And yeah, it's a pain in the ass to put it on your back.

How long were you on minocycline for?
i found it was useless for a while, but after 10 - 12 weeks it finally started working.

6 months. Doc told me it might take 3 months to see it's effects. After not seeing anything for 6 months I stopped taking it.

I'm using a low dose accutane at the moment while I'm on. 40mg for a few days then a few days off and just keep an eye on any flare-ups. Prevention is the key.

these guys have it right. prevention is where its at.

north american doctors prescribe way too heavy dosages of accutane. look for phatkids article posted here (maybe on nexus) regarding how its used in europe.

low dose over a longer time. good results, no sides (or very little).

i run 10mg every few days when on cycle, works like a charm.

if you suffer from acne or are prone to it, id avoid the tren. that would be step one

I took accutane when I was younger to get rid of severe acne and had horrible sides which included nose bleeds and extremely dry lips. Also had to get blood tests done every month. I would either wait until you are completly done your cycle and then do a full dosing schedule of accutane as perscribed by a doctor to completely rid you of your acne, or you could low dose it yourself while on.

I'm firmly in the low-dose during cycle camp. I took 40mg for the last 3 days and now I'll take a few days off. Keep in mind to watch for vit-a intake. Cod liver oil is way high as are mango's (I had some pure mango juice and whoa that's a lot of vit-a). Watch the multi vit's too.
