Kos looked out right when the uppercut landed. The hook wasn't that powerful, more like a forearm smash.

The ref should have let Thiago throw another punch to see how Kos was able to defend.

Ya there is no way that is an early stopage. His hands dropped to his side, all the way to his hips, and he was out, his head bouncing off the mat woke him up.

Didn't even give him a chance to find out if he could still defend himself

c'mon if it was a rookie o.k. i can see erring on the side of caution..but koschek has been in wars before ,the guy has a motor. that was way too soon by an over eager ref

the ref saw a guy get knocked the f out and protected him, im sure thats what the ufc wants the refs to do. He did his job

He was KO'd. If the ref hadn't stopped it he would have been seriously hurt.

I guess we need a definition of what knocked out is because what I do not consider being knocked OUT is when you are moving around looking at your opponent with your arms and legs in a defensive posture. If Koscheck was knocked out for a couple of micro-seconds while still standing, is that really a knockout? I call that being STUNNED and knocked DOWN, not knocked out. IMO it should have went 5 seconds longer to see what happened.

Paulo should have jumped on josh as soon as josh fell on the floor. i think if the ref didnt stop the fight paulo pretty much gave josh a chance to wake up and keep going again.

Once the uppercut landed Kos was as limp as someone on a deca/tren cycle. The hook, although not devestating, threw Kos's head to the side. His ear almost made contact with his shoulder. He was out on his feet. He had no motor function, and fell to the mat. When the back of his head bounced off the mat, he brought his arms and legs up.....I wouldn't say he was fit to defend himself. Take a look at his eyes while he's lying on the mat...they look pretty distant.
The one thing that Kos has going for him is that he is a great athlete and can recover quickly after getting caught by surprise, unfortunately it didn't work for him for this fight.

Koscheck was finished. His eyes rolled right back up. If the ref. allowed the fight to continue he would take un-needed punishment. Kos is young. He'll be back but I love this ****ers who get a few KO's on sub standrad dudes and think they can stand.

Next is Sugar Rashad. Machita will KO the guy.

I concur, Kos was out on his feet. He may be mad at the ref, but the ref saved him from getting his head caved in for no reason.

Machita will KO Rashad in round 2, once he gets Rashads number locked in. He might get lucky in round 1 and drop him with a straight right from the back 40 that he launches almost jab like with devastating effect.

You guys think Machita will KO Rashad eh? His last fight was one of his only KO's. I really enjoy watching Machita fight but I don't see him knocking out Rashad. Evans is a world class wrestler. I think if he is getting the worst of the standup he's powerful enough to takedown Machita. Although he has a good standup game also. I'm really looking forward to the fight.

He won't take Machida down. Tito couldn't and he gave Rashad hel. You see these wrestlers get a few KO's under their belt and they think they have tellar standup and WHAM they get smashed by a real stand up artist.

Machida has 4 ko's or tko's under his belt BUT he had Soko out before he choked him, he knee that folded Totio and Tito isn't easy to fold, and he ko'd Thiago who has never been knock out and has ko'd some very nasty dudes.

Machida will bethe new UFC light weight champ and hold it for a long time.
And if Rashad takes The Dragon down don't forget he's a BBJ BB so he ain't no stranger down there.
