generally i think everyone says dont sign for it.

but if you HAVE to, i dont see why not, once its on your porch i think your safe, i dont think the LE would go undercover as a post man.

But yes it is a connection to the package that you dont want and most avoid

I don't think signing makes a difference.. I've signed for packages I had no idea what they were. Just scribble something, they can't prove you are the person that ordered tht package just because you signed for it.

I've signed for it on numerous occasions. Had no problems.

i worked for a transportation company for a few years. signing for a package only indicates and proves the package was received in reasonable condition. ive signed for hundreds of packages at work that were ordered for neighboring business'. in doing so i am not liable for the contents.

Yeah I think it's just another method of confirmation of delivery. I've signed for stuff for my roommates and for stuff I've had no clue what was in it.
