What sort of cardio do you all do?

Right now I'm going in the AM on an empty stomach. Using one of those Arctrainer machines. Usually go 30-35 minutes at a fairly high intensity level. The machine says I'm burning about 700 cals.

Seems a bit high IMO but I get an excellent sweat going. HR is up around 160
Im sure the xtralean has something to do with that :)

Interested in hearing what you all do and what you find works best for burning fat.

Trying to lean out a bit here as well.

Exact same as you, same time, same machine, same heart rate lol, but only burn around 500-550 cals in 30 mins.

Taking EC 30mins prior and sweat my balls off on there too :)

AM cardio's gotta be the best for burning fat, possibly with some HIIT thrown in there a couple times a week for good measure.

its wierd. i switched from 2 xtraleans before my cardio to 1 redline and 1 xtralean and all of a sudden I burned an extra 100-150cals.

prob just the machine lol.

How do you run the HIIT? 45seconds all out and then 15 slower?

Im loving the arctrainer. Find i get a way better sweat off it than i do on the standard ellipticals.

i do low intensity cardio and i usually use the stairmaster or the bike and i usually burn around 250 cals in 30 mins, but im doing 45 mins each session now

I used to see this guy do an hour of cardio at an insane pace and intensity and if I recall properly the machine said he burned 800 cal on the elliptical. Not so sure how accurate something like 500-700 is in 30-40 minutes. It`s possible, but you must be going hard!

To answer your question on how much cardio I do? None, unless I need to walk up the stairs when going somewhere.

30 min recumbent bike 1X week

2h volleyball 2 X a week

30 min swim 2 or 3 times a week

Everything low intensity

line sprints 2 x weekly ( on tennis court 1/4 and back.....1/2 back....3/4.....all the way)
i do 10 of them

skippin rope 15-20 minutes 2 x weekly

i want to keep my heart healthy.....high intensity melts the fat off of me.....

HIIT usually do on the seated bike. 30 seconds all out then 60 slower. Go for around 15 mins of that.

Get on the treadmill set it to incline level 15 and speed 3 and ill do that for about 30min to an hour or the stair climber.
