You are an inspiration my friend. I can't give you any green rep as I need to spread it out more before I can hit you back.

I've lost count. Now if only it was years in a row. I've made it to year 2 a half dozen times and year 3 once.

I started when I was 14 in the basement. Then at a gym when I was 15. I was in the army for a little while, went from 180 to 155 and ran all the time but couldn't lift weights a lot. So probably about 8 years.

Started working out at home on my York 2001 home gym when I was 14. Trained lats like there was no tomorrow! Entered a BB comp when I was 16 and did very poorly. I had no idea what I was doing (I thought contest diet meant eating only salads, and I heard that you don't want to hold water, so i didn't drink any....yikes!!!). Over the years, I learned alot, got into powerlifting and won a fair amount of meets. I competed in the 148's, 164's and 181's.

My PB's were in the 181 class:

Squat - 601 (Inzer Z-suit)
Bench - 308 (Inzer single denim shirt)
Deadlift - 501 (Inzer Z-suit)

Now I'm 36 and will be trying another BB comp in June. I started at 188 and will probably compete at 154'ish.

BTW, I am 5'4" tall.

I was 16 when I got my first Vinyl Weider weight set, training in my parent's basement, using the coffee table as a bench. I am now 35 years old and have been training ever since. Now my son, who just turned 14 years, is asking me to take him to the gym.

Truly unbelievable how time flies!!!!!

I got my first gym membership when I was 14. My dad had to sign a waver for me to train there on my own---he used to drop me off there and pick me up every night...... now I am 37. Barring injuries, I have trained consistently for those 23yrs.

started "training" at 17, but it was biceps and chest everyday. Been real serious for about 5 years, in total 8 years.

I also started when I was 14 with the good old plastic weights, so that's almost 23 years now. Unfortunately I've never really stuck to it for long periods of time. So mostly off for those 2 decades but I keep coming back to it. I have gone from about 140 to 180lbs so it hasn't been a complete waste. Still embarrassing to admit though.
