Whey Isolate and fish oil are my main stays I consider them food.

vitamin C - a couple 500mg at two different meals

Leucine
Creatine
Beta-Alanine

Don't usually take all three of these at once usually two of them and then rotate after a couple months.

I am generally not a big fan of some of the concoctions out there but Size-On gave much more noticeable gains for me then regular creatine.

Can't believe how many supplements alot of people take.. I see some lists of 6+ different things.. Must be expensive and hard to guage effectiveness, really. The staples in almost every list here is multi vitamin, whey protein, and fish oil.. The rest, almost seems designer. Nothing beats real food

No offense but multi`s are crap. The doses are too small, I personally feel they are for people who are too lazy to get the essentials like vitc B-vit. vit E, magnesium and Zinc. This will be far more effective than a multi and allows you to take key doses at the right time.

No creatine?

vinpocetine

I`m waiting on some nootropics: DMAE, choline, piracetam, which I will be taking with l-tyrosine, vinpocetine and rhodiola. I`ve been waiting a long time to try this stuff. May be getting some other nootropics and may keep a log. Also waiting on some gaba.

You would`t beleive the number of pill bottles I have lying around near my stash! It`s always funny to see people`s reactions...

L-tyrosine like many similar products is typically used to treat slight depression and anxitey, proper thyroid function and multi tasking. It really helps if you had a bad nights sleep to put you in a better mood. It increases dopamine levels in the brain which is a feel good hormone. I have to proof of this but I`m not sure my brain produces optimal dopamine levels. It`s best to take l-tyrosine (3grams) on an empty stomach say one hour after a meal you will notice the effects within 30-45 minutes. Taking rhodiola rosea I find increases the effects (500mg 3-4% extract.) If you take vinpocetine (10mg) with the previous meal it`s even better, and do take this with a meal. You can take vinpocetine multiple times during the day and is said to work even better over time which I can attest to. Vinpocetine is in the redline RTD`s and that`s why some people feel ****ed up when they drink it because they do so on an empty stomach as directed. It also lowers blood pressure. Another plus to take more ephedrine!

A stoner, you say? Piracetam is said to enhance the effects of weed and pleasure of listening to music. It really has many uses, from social anxiety, mild depression and lack of concentration and motivation. For me it`s the lack of motivation-depresion and concentration. I will be taking this with choline and DMAE. Again the synergy is what makes each product better. I mean the mind is what directs where you go in your workouts so this is why I want to give these a try. The in the zone feeling I get from vinpo, caffeine, ephedrine, l-tyrosine and rhodiola is always amazing. That`s why I ****ing hate it when people talk to me in the gym... Hopefully the pira, choline and DMAE will make it even better, the effects last longer also. And as you mentioned they are smart drugs. People claim to retain information better, better sleep, and just feeling more motivated and overall positive toward whatever it is they are doing.

If you really want to know more about nootropics there is a 60 something thread on t-nation in the food and supplements forum. I`ve read it about 3-4times. Other interesting and more powerfull and fast acting one`s you will read about are oxiracetam, aniracetam and the top of the food chain Provigil which is prescription but like anything else is obtainable. These are much more expensive than the ones I will be giving a try but apparantly taking ani and oxi puts you in an intense study zone where you get shit done faster than ever thought possible and retain stuff like crazy.

Yeah man... I'm considering cost as I sort of "rollback" the supplement list I have. I'd like to keep things much simpler and basic just to keep my sanity. That and it's a pain in the ass trying to juggle all of them as a full-time student.

I may experiment with a cheap-ass multi-vitamin and see what happens. $20/month is still a fair bit, despite how awesome it looks. Shame it's not offered in 3/6 month bulk sizes, I'd be much more interested then.

If cash is tight, I`d consider droping the micellar protien as it`s twice the price. Does it really make a difference? I`m sure you could ditch the glutamine and arginine as well. Now you can keep the multi as it`s much more important.

I will send you an invoice for this consultation, lol...

Haha yeah I'm phasing out the Casein. I didn't realize I could cure my lactose intolerance when I ordered it, but I ended up getting it for half price because they sent me double for screwing up. I've got about 12 pounds of it left to burn through.

I've thought about dumping the Glutamine and Arginine too. I've noticed better results from the Glutamine than the Arginine, so the Arg would probably be first to go.
